Alright! I just saw that it's now available in 5 theaters in my county this weekend, up from one or none not too long ago.
If I go see it again that would make six viewings, which is a nice round number, an even half-dozen. Logan could count that on two hands.

Good luck to this film if it can still get $1.6 million at this point and if that happens it will outgross X3. X3 never expanded, this is the 2nd weekend that DOFP is expanding. So I guess thats an indication that Fox really wants the film to outgross X3 and become the highest grossing X-Men film in North America. That theater expand is pretty big especially the film is already out for more than 12 weeks.

Last week (Wednesday August 20th) was the very last dutch showing and i was present with about 20 other people. My plan was to take my mom but it turned out she couldn't make it last minute because of another appointment. Still i wasn't going to let that spoil the mood and went solo to see DOFP one last time!t:

I think Box Office Mojo will release a 4-day Labor Day weekend estimates/actuals.

to 233 Million.

According to BOM It is playing In 794 theatres.

So close to matching unadjusted number of the Last Stand.

X-Apocalypse will indeed improve on X-DOFP. 800+ mil is guarenteed even if the movie is half good. 1 bil should be the target for Apocalypse.

I don't see a X-Men film earning over 300 million in North America. Alice 2/Turtles 2 will be a big competition for Apocalypse and summer 2016 could be really crowded.

adding to that Apocalypse won't have return of OT cast and crossover event
that DOFP had.While GOTG proves you really don't need "Stars" still unknown
if new younger actors as Cyclops,Jean,and storm will have same magic as return of OT cast.

If Fox continues their so-so marketing campaigns I don't see 300mil happening anytime soon.
