I actually even found the end credits of the first one better with him saying 'you're still here' etc.. This one was clever in a Reynolds-meta way but the first film's was just so funny to me
The action in this was better but the story was kinda all over the place, the serious moments really didn't fit well in the movie. It was very entertaining and very fun but I liked the first one better
That truck that blended him up and Peter attempted to save him in.Im kinda dense but
What truck? Thanks you the real MVP

I felt the serious stuff was really good and necessary. Cant have the whole film constant comedy start to finish, it would wear real thin. Giving Deadpool some real grievances was great and really kept the film investing for me anyway.
I think I might have been the only one in my theater who actually heard the words during the Juggernaut's theme - I was dying and the rest of the theater was completely silent.
One of my favourite bits, definitely. Holy s***balls.

That X-men cameo towards the beginning might be one of my favorites ever. It feels so appropriate that the remainder of the X-men just want to steer clear of Wade.
I loved how it was so blink and youll miss it fast. Anything more would have spoiled the gag.
Its weird, but this movie almost felt more like an X-Men movie to me than the last X-Men movie. I think because they did Juggernaught properly (the brother chat especially) and leaned in on the comic book stuff rather than the film stuff, it felt like it really was in a living, breathing X-Men universe.
I like the first too, and and it has novelty on its side. I actually agree the emotional connection between Wade and Vanessa is stronger than Wade trying to save Russell (which I still liked). But let's not novelty blind us. Saying the action is better in the first Deadpool when there is almost no action in it is almost overpraising the original.

I thought the first one had better humor, action and a better story.
Lewis tan posted this. Interesting.
