The Dark Knight Rises Det Harvey Bullock

Why do people want a thinner, younger Bullock? He's always been the fat cop who thinks he is better than he really is. That's what makes him so great as a character, the fat guy who thinks he's the greatest, and shows that he can actually do a good portion of what he says. He's kinda like the Guy Gardner of the GPD, but can take more than a punch.
Its not that I want a thin Bullock. Its just that I dont give a flying fudge how he looks like in the movie. If we are only gonna look at big people then we are limiting our choices.

We could also look at thinner people that could pull off the look if they put on some weight. :oldrazz:

Since Mickey has been suggested, I'm surprised Ron hasn't been.

With all due respect, your logic is flawed. Shouldnt the actor be chosen based on whether he suits the role or not? Should the role just change so that we can cast anybody?

Is his weight any important to the character?

Yet Bale doesn't have black hair and no one seems to mind.

I agree that Bullock should be a big guy, for the reasons you mentioned, but I don't think the actor specifically needs to be "overweight." He could just be a big or stocky guy and still convey those essential characteristics just fine.

MICHAEL MADSEN

He is Harvey Bullock.

Glad I'm not the only who thinks Madsen would make a good Bullock. He just needs a cigar in his mouth and a box of powdered doughnuts in his hand.

It's not even "very dark" brown. It's the exact same color as my hair: plain ol' boring brown.

It can appear darker with a little product in it (as all hair does), but it still never comes close to black:

And actually, it is pretty darn close to the color Kilmer's was in Forever:

But back on-topic, I agree Michael Madsen could be a great Bullock.

Madsen or Rourke.

Just fill Madsen up with pork pies, lol.

I suppose dying them black would make him look like he was wearing a wig so its better that they left it like that. Kilmer's hair was a lot lighter in colour in BF.

Madsen pretty much NAILS Bullock. He's got my vote! :woot:

Why are you guys even arguing about Bruce's hair color? For crying out loud. Bale's hair is fine for it, it's plenty dark. Move on!

True.

Ya' know like Gordon's guy in TDK? His name slips my mind at the moment, but he was a decent build for Bullock.

You know the guy, "..I'm gonna' have to enjoy it...even more."

lol His name is Stephens; the funny thing is, when I first saw The Dark Knight, I thought that he was supposed to be a nod to Bullock. Kind of like Ramirez seems to be a nod to Montoya.

That was my impression too, actually!

I've got my fingers crossed hard for Montoya in Batman 3, likely as Bullock's partner at some point.

I was hoping Montoya would be a possible love interest to Bruce, but I heard she was a lesbian?

I would love for Vincent D'Onofrio to play Bullock!!!

(AHAHAHA When I was first tryping this I wrote "bullcok")

Bullock would be awesome in one of the movies.

It just seems ridiculous to me that it would take three films to see Bullock and Montoya. Granted, they SORT of had characters that were vaguely similar to them in TDK...but it just makes no sense.

Bullock and Montoya are similar to those characters, but not fully, theyre arent them.
