Arrow Dinah Laurel Lance/Katie Cassidy Thread - Part 4

My DCTV Universe would be happily complete! Just think of all the Black Canary fans who would flock to watch Supergirl if Laurel was moved there!

Supergirl's writing team would handle Black Canary better there than in Arrow.

There are complaints about lots of characters on Supergirl too, so that is not a guarantee.

If she were to be brought back full time, maybe Flash would be the best option for her. The other shows are too crowded with characters. Her Canary Cry would probably be allowed to be more powerful like in the comics on that show.

Echo revealed that he will have scenes with "Laurel Lance". So im guessing all of TA will go up against Black Siren.

Interesting. Wonder how Curtis will feel about that; Laurel kind of stuck up for him in S4 when he first found the Arrow Cave and Oliver wanted to boot him out. This may not come up during the encounter with Black Siren but I would be proud of the writers if they remembered that detail and had Curtis as a more sympathetic character toward her.

Happy Birthday Black Canary...... :ilv: :ilv:

Lawd she looks so hawt!!

Happy Birthday Katie Cassidy!

Dinah Laurel has a stronger sense of justice than Oliver.

Bit of a random post, but no she doesn't. Where are you getting that from? She has done questionable things too, despite not being in anywhere near as tough or complicated situations as Oliver. This is part of why I loved her so much on the show. She, like Oliver, was not perfect, but wanted to do the right thing, and that made her very interesting to me.

Looks like they are giving another "Black Canary" moment to Sara during the big 100. Why can't Laurel kick some ass in the dream world?

Has Laurel or Sara even trained in this world? I can only assume that it is Sara from LOT who gets into the alternate world.

Is this a reference to her fighting Slade in the trailer? I did find that interesting. So perhaps Sara somehow still received League training and she has to save Oliver and Laurel from Deathstroke? From what little I've seen, my guess is someone must hire Deathstroke to take out (Oliver? Robert? Moira?)he crashes the wedding.

No. But from the pictures it is evident that all the Arrow characters sans Felicity become aware of their surroundings. They are all hooked up to the pods.

Yes. I think it will just be Olivers psyche making a mess of things.

She's not a serial murderer, so yes, she does. Have a very great day!

God bless you all!

Oliver these days kills very dangerous people, like Ras and Darhk, or in desperate situations, like when he does not want his secret identity to get out. Back in season 1, he killed criminals more freely because that is what he was conditioned to do on the island, and he thought there was no other way due to his experiences. He then learnt to only do it when it was necessary.

Laurel has not been through what Oliver has been through, yet still does questionable things. She killed the person in Bloods mask, she blackmailed to get her job back, she tried to kill Komodo and failed because there were no bullets and wanted to kill Malcolm too. She came close to killing Sara, after she brought her back. It is clear she does not handle pressure situations well, and she does not be in anywhere near as much as Oliver. If she were in as tough situations as he does be in, or was through what he was through, she would have done worse than she has already done.

If you ignore context and the situations and difficulties they have to deal with and are put in, then yes, she is morally better. It is easy to have better morals when not put in as difficult situations as other people. Sure everyone has better morals than Oliver then. But ignoring context is obviously silly.

AK...why did you have to leave us with MG?!?

Because AK is the producer that we deserve, but not the one that this show needs right now. So we'll he left with MG instead, because this show can apparently handle five seasons worth of MG.

Who does Andrew think he is, talking about a show whose success he played a big part in? What does he know?

So far so good regarding this season, but if the 2nd half goes downhill focusing on unimportant things like Felicity and her family, I wonder can Arrow get Kreisberg back and send Guggenheim over to Flash. It would be only fair.

Then the Flash would be screwed.lol

You know, looking back on things, one of the biggest tragedies was that we never got to see more of the playful and confident side of Laurel that she displayed when she first met Cisco. It was during that interaction where I could believe wholeheartedly that she was one of DC's top female superheroes.

How so, if I may ask? I wish she was given more importance on Arrow and worked her way up to be one of Olivers equal on the team, like Diggle and Felicity, and Sara in season 2. Sadly, she never broke past the Roy or Thea level of importance on the team, which is a shame IMO. I agree that it would have been nice to see her be more playful. I, personally, found that Cisco scene to be cringe-inducing though.

I wouldn't want her being more playful to be done like that, but in a different way. I think that is what Black Canary fans want though, for other people to be in awe of her like Cisco was, as well as for her to be constantly calling out Oliver and for him to be saying stuff like he isn't good enough for her. I am glad they did not do that, as it would get tiring, although sadly they have that happen with Felicity instead.

Idk how to exactly describe it but there was a certain level of confidence that she presented that made her come off that way.

I think her appearance will go over well tomorrow with most people. It is funny/sad, but dying seems to have made people appreciate her much more and realize what she contributed to the show. If people showed they cared as much before, she most likely wouldn't be dead. I don't think these writers would have it in them to kill a character that they think a lot of the audience love and would be unhappy about, unless they planned to bring them back like Sara and Malcolm. Like I said before, if her appearances on the shows this year go over well, I think she will be brought back on one of the shows full-time. I hope they do, but I am torn about what show I would want her back on. Arrow, because it is the show I watch the most, or Flash because I think she would get more time and importance on that show.
