Yeah no kidding...If I hadn't seen Benedicts Hamlet couple days ago I would have genuinely bought that. Looks very real.

So they are taking advantage of his physical condition (he was very thin, down for Hamlet). That matches perfectly with the beginning where he is depressed, at his lowest point. And hopefully next month when shooting switches to London he'll be slightly more buff and rock his own beard.

Also there are rumors that Benedict has an American dialect coach. Take that with a grain of salt. Hopefully not as his British accent is on another level of aswesomeness.

Definitely channeling Christian Bale from Batman Begins, but Ben looks great. He can do an American accent so I wouldn't be surprised to see him do one since he's such a great actor. His Boston accent was also praised in Black Mass by a guy who saw Cumberbatch's character speak irl, so I think Ben's got it in him to pull off an American accent for sure.
