Don't Hate The Hater, Hate The Hate! - - - - Part 16

I'm not a big fan of Twitter and rarely use it, but I really hate when I see people tweet at celebrities asking for a retweet. In fact, that's why I really hate Twitter in general, because it makes regular people feel like they can communicate with celebrities, and if they get a response, they feel like they're best friends with them.

I've gotten a few tweets back, didn't ask for a retweet though...no, I don't feel like their best friend.

I'm talking about the people who specifically ask for a retweet. I've gotten a couple of replies too and it was more like "Wow, I didn't actually expect this." But there are people who don't even try to contribute anything. They just do it more as a cry for attention from someone who doesn't even know they exist.

But the other thing I hate more is when someone follows a celebrities just so they can talk **** about them.

I hate that I just realized the massive divide between my sister and I. She's super skinny and image concious. She tans regularly and is really into how she looks. Me, on the other hand, sits like a turd next to her on the couch eating Skittles. I eat candy like a over-zealous toddler and laugh at the TV like a moron, while she makes plans on her phones to get her nails done and plans her next tanning session. I guess what I'm really getting at is I like skittles. A lot.

She's gonna get skin cancer and/or premature aging. You might want to stop her.

I tried, but I'm the last person to give health advice. I can't say "that tan's gonna kill you", while simultaneously putting a chicken nugget in my face.

I hate dealing with loud drunk people on the train. It's late and everyone's trying to go home, nobody's got time to deal with a bunch of obnoxious loud drunk chicks who don't know how to lower their voices.

You might also want to warn her of the effects of being too thin. I might not be able to have children because of a previous run in with an eating disorder.

Excessive tanning and getting sunburns causes skin cancer. I have a friend who had melanoma that spread to her ovaries, and now she needs to get screened constantly and get every large mole removed just to make sure it doesn't come back.

At the very least, yes, it will make her look old in short order.

Eating Skittles and chicken nuggets MAY lead to weight gain that MAY lead to obesity that MAY lead to heart disease and cancer and all that. So IMO what she's doing is more unhealthy. :oldrazz:

I wish I could hug you through the screen right now, Hawingbird. :csad: I hope you're doing better now.

I'm naturally ridiculously thin. It's not healthy for 90% of women out there. No one should aspire to this. And it will harm me in the long run, because my grandmother had osteoporosis (died being bedridden for a year after breaking her hip) and my mom was diagnosed with it at 52. At 29, I'm fighting to build up muscle and bone, and doing it fast, because starting at 30 I will start to lose it more than build it up.

I just want to tell every woman out there who's going through an eating disorder, that being skinny doesn't solve anything. It's just the shape of your body, it doesn't make you look at the world differently.

I added Josh Keaton on facebook, he approved
He's awesome, but I never considered myself more than a simple fan

I hate that my Aunt is dying of cancer.
Best wishes for her and her entire family
Stay strong everyone

I hate that a certain person bought the first season of Leverage on a particular website, and it's still out of stock during one of their regular sales. Damn this person. Damn them to the depths of Hades! :cmad:

I am so sorry. Is there any chance, however slim, she's going to make it through? Because, if so, I sincerely hope she does.

:csad:

I'm afraid these are her final days. She has lung cancer and it spread into her brain, and the doctor says it's inoperable.

That's exactly what happened to my dad (except it was Lymphoma). It was literally one day to the next how quickly he went.

Thank you Anita :) and I'm sorry Piper, I wish her luck and love.

In those cases, I sometimes wonder if it's a gift that they go so quickly. Like, Roger Ebert seemed perfectly lucid in his final days. I think I'd rather go like that, instead of languishing in pain for months, barely alive, waiting for the end.

My friend with cancer sent a hopeful email mere days before he fell into a weeklong coma before dying. I know he was in a lot of pain in the end, but I'm glad he was at least lucid until then.

Cancer suck. :csad: I'm sorry Piper.
