I actually think that's really cool. We went to a restaurant that's renowned for their soup dumplings (and I mean SUPER FAMOUS....1.5 hour wait kind of famous) and watching the Hispanic guys in the back wrapping the dumplings was just so fascinating. No sketch, cause....yeah it's super-famous.

If you've never wrapped a dumpling, it is ****ing hard!

Yes, but it's always delicious at the time.

My old roommate (who was from mainland China) used to leave frozen chicken defrosting in the sink for an entire day. We are used to sketch.

It's definitely worse if I see them do it. But I'll be honest, ignorance is bliss. If I don't know the person cooking my food has done something gross, it's never going to bother me. Unless I cook it myself, there's rarely a meal I eat that I see cooked.

Regarding being able to see into the kitchen at a restaurant, I don't mind that. Usually the only thing that might bug me is the noise. By way of thinking it makes the chefs far less likely to do anything naughty because they know everyone can see them.
