For all you veterans of World of Warcraft here on Hype here's a comparison of (recognizable) shots from Warcraft (2016) and in-game screenshots from World of Warcraft:

That's neat. By the way, I don't know why everyone is *****ting all over this. True, the trailer is sort of generic and the CGI is rather blatant (I'm not the biggest fan of that)... but I expected a LOT worse. Films based on video games are generally awful and this looks like it might be halfway decent. Maybe not a cinematic masterpiece, or even among the best films in the fantasy genre, but decent. I haven't played WoW in many, many years and I doubt I'll ever get back into it, but it (along with the older RTS games) does give me a feel of nostalgia, so I try to be hopeful about this movie.

I was just about to come here and post that picture jokesonm3, man I had no idea the area Orgrim Doomhammer is the Swamps of Sorrows!

Ok then.

1) Holy Moly does that look awesome!

2) way too early for a TV spot and new footage.

which pics are from the movie?

But man oh man, these are cosplay costumes made by Blizzard fans... It looks much better than majority of costumes in modern blockbusters, mind boggling...

Even the offical synopsis sounds much better than what we have heard in the trailer:

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

Better montage and impression is much better. Instead of going blatant "worlds collide", "enemies unite", "producers may cry"...

I feel like the premise is good. The trailer just tried too hard to sell you on everything.

That's pretty accurate.

Warcraft Le Commencement?

Warcraft The Beginning?

Sounds promising.

They made a new trailer, this was clearly aimed at the gamers!:

OMG, I had no idea that Duncan Jones was David Bowie's son. Hope he's doing okay. :(

Duncan has begun easing his way back onto twitter after his (understandable) absence. He began by giving WarCraft fans the following "Bit of fun for the WarCraft fans. Streets of Warcraft. Spot the quests" and then posting some higher quality versions found in that tweet.
