Duncan Jones' Warcraft - Part 2

Looking at the tweets, here is what I am getting. It is primitive, in that it is super cliched.
Can't say I didn't expect it. Older folks probably saw it all a hundred times. Younger will say "it has a few interesting twists". But trailers are full of cliches.
The problem of confusion probably comes with the crap ton of names and words for things that probably aren't explained indepth. And well if you don't care, you start zoning out and things get confusing. Batman v. Superman isn't confusing. But it is so boring that people just lose track of what is going on because they don't care.
Possible.

It's some people from internet, who claim they saw the film and express their opinions. I'm not trying to stir anything. I haven't watched the film yet and I don't have an opinion. All I can say I will be watching it next Thursday.

To be honest, after BvS I don't care. :woot: No amount of words of others can make me think it's gonna be good/bad, I'm just waiting to see it myself and make up my mind.

Man, I'm just watching this https://youtu.be/WxL3ryE23lo over and over again.

It won't affect my decision to watch the film. And it certainly won't affect my impression of the film. Like it didn't in case of BvS and numerous other films.

I certainly don't expect a masterpiece or a film, that reinvents whatever is there to reinvent. But I'm expecting a fun to watch film. Or a film, that I will be watching over and over again.

Is it Ner'zhul?

This character is seen in another group shot of orcs in the latest video.

I've always believed that to be Ner'zhul, it does fith with his aethestics and designs.

I expect every new film to be a potential masterpiece. :woot:

Yea, I think it's Ner'zhul. :yay:

Man, I'm listeting to Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness Soundtrack right now, such a fantastic score. Shame Glenn Stafford was not the composer on the film. His scores are terrific!

Well if he's a close associate with Gul'dan then it would make more sense if he's Teron Gorefiend or you know, the games are the games and movies are movies and they follow their own cannon. :)

Yes, Teron is even more possible. Though I don't remember him being an orc, only undead. Though, it happens during the second war, not during events of the first film.

from Warcraft 2 manual:
These soldiers of darkness were created by Gul’dan to replace the slaughtered Warlock clans. Assembled from the corpses of the Knights of Azeroth slain in the last battles of the First War, these abominations were then instilled with the ethereal essence of the Shadow Council. Further empowered with magical energies culled from the slain Necrolytes, the Death Knights wield an arsenal of necromantic and elemental spells that mete out all but certain death to the enemies of the Horde.

That's what Teron in the future, if he is in this movie.

According to those, who saw the film, Ner'zhul and Theron aren't in the film. The orc on the photo - Laughing Skull member.

The amount of lightnings gave me impression of some very powerful shaman, but since Ner'zhul is not in the film... idk who is he.

Ok. But don't twist the subject we are talking about. Which was translating a thing into the film.
Then it becomes a question if something is worth adapting. As with the vast majority of video game stories, Warcraft is super derivative of books and films that came before.

People are booking tickets already on May 26 in my theater.

What's not? I'm not being sarcastic, it's a seriously meant question. :yay:

Same here in Czech Republic. :woot: On June 10, actually.

Plenty of stuff. People cling to Game of Thrones because it is LotR, by way of the Sopranos. Zootopia has a political satire not associated with animated films. Fury Road was a feminist post-apocalyptic action movie. What is Warcraft bringing to the table on well, any front?

Don't care if Warcraft is original or not, I'm gonna watch the beginnings of the Horde and Alliance on screen and I couldnt be more excited about it. Watching the video of the Lion's Pride Inn kept me smiling for a while.

Say what you will but most, if not all my friends and people I know who have played either WC or WoW, are super excited for the film and arent nitpicking nearly as much as people on this board. The only complaint i've heard from others is that they're gonna have to wait longer for a Frozen Throne movie.

Nitpicking things like story and the visuals of a film. What heathens we are. :funny:

who cares if the story isn't super original as long as the execution is great avatar doesn't have an original story and many people call it a fern gully and dances with wolves rip off but it is still executed well

As long as it brings enough enjoyable escapism and characters to invest into - I'm cool.

I accept all the apologizes from those that said I was wrong about the budget. I also apologize for underselling it at only $150m. :funny:

Reading that bit, it makes it sound like it cost more, but it got tax cuts or something. Because it says $160m (net). Like that is what it cost after rebates.

If that is so, this movie looks horrible for something that cost well over $150m. No more playing nice on the visuals.

One, I dislike Avatar quite a bit. Two, what indication is there this is executed well?
