Duncan Jones' Warcraft - Part 2

There's definitely gonna be "that guy" who isn't happy with his current rank among the humans. You know, that guy who has been "loyal" and been a fighter/general for years serving under Travis Fimmel. Then when the orcs show up and cause chaos, and the human leader starts working together with some of the orcs, "that guy" uses this to his advantage to split the humans, rallying some of them behind a "We can't trust the orcs" philosophy, and those humans will be as much bad guys as the bad orcs will be.

That's my guess at least.

Just because that guy's a heel of sorts doesn't make him the actual villain of the movie. He doesn't come off like a central villain in any of the trailers.

This is my point. The trailer makes it look like peace-loving, integrated Alliance AND good Orcs vs. Evil Orcs. It doesn't look like what you describe at all.

Going by WC1, Medivh should be the main human villain.

I just saw a trailer for Warcraft before Civil War, not sure which one it was (I've only watched them once) but the guy in the picture has a line saying something like "The orcs are beasts and we can't trust them", whereas Travis Fimmel is seen working together with them. To me, that is enough in a trailer to let me know that, "hey, I guess humans are divided on this topic and it won't be smooth sailing", but I guess they could have expanded it.

I get the exact same thing, but that still doesn't establish him as the villain in the marketing campaign. It just seems to be the way this is being marketed to the masses.

i feel the marketing has held back way too much footage every trailer has the same footage maybe its the cgi i dont know lol

compare it to say suicide squad who had 3 full length trailer with tons of new stuff in each one and still didn't spoil anything

You know how when certain movies come out, critics say "The trailers didn't spoil the movie at all, there are so many good scenes that weren't shown". I feel like Warcraft has maybe gone for that.. a little too far. They haven't really given us enough in the trailers. That play works the best if you have some great trailers and create hype, and then when the movie comes out, the hype gets bigger when critics say "there's so much good stuff left out". Gotta hook people from the beginning.

They may pull a subversion and he actually comes around to fighting with the orcs.

Hope I get these rewards too. :gngl:

They don't seem to know how to market this movie. Everything I've seen so far doesn't give you any insight into these character except, "This guy's good/evil" and "this guy's a badass."

Wohoo I get to see this 1 day before premiere. :b

Also is Anduin Lothar the Bane of Azeroth?

I can get this basic conflict from GoT. Night's Watch vs Wildlings is about the same, minus some tusks and dirty bulk on the wildling side.

Yeah. Also, I love Paula, but between this and that Baggage Claim movie (and turning down MI:4) I'm worried that she's committing career suicide.
