Something to consider about this circumstance.
When the american actor Ledger died and 'boosted' TDK's intrigue/reception that was mainly seen in it's domestic performance, which makes sense given he was a 'big' american actor. When it comes to Paul Walker boosting this particular films revenue, just what has he done for it's domestic numbers? It's not doing TDK freak domestic numbers clearly, it's not doing hunger game stuff, I'm not even sure it's doing GOTG numbers..
What's odd is that this american actors death is being attributed to boosting the films foreign numbers? Notice how this didn't really happen with TDK....
I just find that odd and interesting.
Granted alot of this is fails to take into account that TDK did not get a China release(even back then it may have been pretty significant).
Long story short, Pauls death, like ledgers should be reflected in the domestic numbers I think(and I don't really see anything 'that' impressive happening). Explaining china has to take other things into account to a degree. Such as the emerging Car culture over there.
Well thats not true at all.
Even though OS numbers reflect the boost MUCH MUCH MORE domestic increase is still there.
fast 5 had a 86 mil o.w. and 210 mil total (corrected error inputing fast 4 numbers)
fast 6 has 97 o.w. and 238,5 mil total
and fast 7 EXPLODED to 147 o.w. and its going for a 347 mil total.
so yeah the boost is there although its not that significant.
btw FF7 has little chance to beat the original Avengers gross. 51,5 more mil are not happening for a movie that is almost out of theaters
