yet again no jean and cyclops i think its finally clear that the first class isn't going to have either in, I dont think we will get sinister i think it will be the x-men v the hellfire club and the formation of magneto and xaviers rivalry towards the films end. fingers crossed we get cyclops and jean in the sequel

With a cast this large are we looking at a 3 hour film,or an overcrowded film,with bit parts for everyone?

Ah jeez... we've now got the bubble butted, white trash Angel as a character. The casting looks better than the character depiction. But I really hope these Morrison-age characters are in it less that "Psylocke" was in X3.

It would almost be better to make this film non-canonical, or disregard the X-trilogy just so we can have a closer cast to the comics. The X-trilogy makes it impossible to have Iceman or Angel as earlier characters here.

January Jones looks decent but is nothing to write home about

Seriously? I don't really watch Mad Men religiously, but Jones is an amazing actress on that show, there's a reason she's nominated for an Emmy.

I'd say she's a definite step up from Alice Eve.

Never really watched the show outside of one episode. Just based on what I have seen from her movies, which is not a large sample to begin with.

Sometimes, it's hard when you're convincing someone that an actress or actor is good when they're not familiar with him or her. And sometimes, people are ill informed.

She is a step up from Alice. No offense to Alice, who isn't bad either. But Januaray has a 'mystique' (hehe) about her. Maybe because of Mad Men, that she reminds me of a classic beauty.

So yeah, she is more THAN ALIGHT.

I can see the last 5 being members of the HFC (if they're in the movie). Maybe Darwin and Azezel are cover names for other characters. They're pretty obscure but they have ties with Moira and Mystique in the comics so who knows.

looking at cast i feel like x factor a bit because havok/mystique/darwin/ were all members of x Factor during the years

an was'nt multiple man a rumored character in this film and he was x factor as well

Bill Milner is to play Erik, the younger version of Michael Fassbender's character Magneto in Matthew Vaughn's X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, which will chart the epic beginning of the X-Men saga.

Charlie Rowe, who played a younger version of Andrew Garfield, in the up-coming Never Let Me Go, has been cast as the young Charles, (Professor X) (played by James McAvoy).

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

After seeing that picture of Bill Milner, I'm surprised at how much he looks like Ian McKellen as opposed to Fassbender.
