what? what a prick!

now he's tryin to tap Danerys nice behind( but it seems he truly loves her). Damn both Xaro and Jorah want it, no wonder shes mostly in a pissed off mood

There are some that sympathize with Jorah. I am not one of them. I am kind of upset by how they have romanticized him on the show.

For what it is worth, he is way better then Daario. Now there is a real piece of work. Stupid Dany.

He is a weak piece of crap who deserted the the Watch because he is a weak piece of crap.

Jorah Mormot? He was never in the Night's Watch to desert. He fled Westeros because he sold poachers on his land to slavers. Ned Stark wanted his head for it.

btw love how Yggrit talks lol

and why are they making Shea soo nice, was she like this in the books too?

He was given the choice to get his head cut off or take the black. He ran instead of joining his father.

You are not a part of the Brottherhood until you say the oath. Jorah never said the oath therefore he is no deserter of the Watch nor is he an oath breaker. He was given a crappy choice. He chose option C. I suppose you wouldn't have done the same? I'm a survivor and like hell I'd lose my head or take the watch if I could escape without harming someone.

Have to say I do find the Starks a rather boring bunch (I'm including Jonny). Good, loyal and all. But about as interesting as, well, nobody in the Lannister camp. Except Arya, and maybe Rick-on. Break out character waiting to happen.

You are right, he didn't desert. He just ran like a coward.

And I probably wouldn't have got myself in that situation in the first place. Plenty at the Wall have been given a **** choice and were no where near as well off as Jorah. He knew the law and broke it because he was a love sick idiot. Spending his money because his shallow wife wasn't "happy"? A wife he picked.

Jon and Arya will do interesting things. Arya is especially interesting because you'll see a lot more of the entire world, not just Westeros, from her story.

I was always fascinated with Bran. It was only covered in the show a bit with the three-eyed crow. In the book, there's more detail. During his coma, the crow tells him he can't die because winter is coming. And when you meet Jojen Reed, he tells Bran [blackout]that he dreamed of a winged-wolf in chains he was meant to free and Bran is that winged-wolf[/blackout]. He may be a cripple who rides in a basket on a half-wit, but he's destined for something great.

Those be some fighting words. :cmad:

Why don't we ask [BLACKOUT]Janos Slynt[/BLACKOUT] how boring Jon is? :o

Bran is my boy. Him, Jon and Ayra are the best around. Sansa is starting to progress quite well herself.

Wait what about Gendry, he's still Robert Barathians son, which makes him king right?

No because his mother was a commoner. Robert does have a son with a woman of House Florent (second most powerful family in the Reach after the Tyrells. Also Stannis' wife's family) named Edric Storm. He would have a claim if he were legitimized.

He'd have to be legitimized first. Kind of like how Jon Snow can't have Winterfell unless Robb legitimized him.

I still dont see how he is a coward. He saved his neck and if I recall he didn't hurt anyone doing it. As I said they'd have to execute me before I'd go to the wall and in the words of Tyrion "I like my head where it is." The punishment didn't even fit the crime. A lifetime in the watch or my head! Ned Stark can just **** off with that BS.

Whatever crimes he commited he's more than payed for, he feels immense guily at fleeing, about betraying his father and the devotion he shows to those he loves is a fairly positive thing IMO

Bran reminds me
of that dude who sits and watches the kids play in the pools. If that's any hint as to his possible future.

A man can change and Jorah has paid for his crimes every day of his life since fleeing. The only thing he did by fleeing was deny a nobleman his justice. Besides I pity him simply for having to put up with Dany. Poor bastard fell in love with one annoying person.

There is a reason why Jon Snow has Longclaw and he doesn't. The coward knew what he did and left it behind.

The punishment did fit the crime. He sold men into slavery and more so, he knew the punishment. That is the thing, he knew the punishment and did it anyways.

His precious Dany seems to agree with Ned on this. Just look at Astapor. :o

Are we talking about the man that was willing to kill Dany to get his ticket back home before he developed the urge to bang her?

Yeah, no.

He had nothing to lose. It was his head or the watch. If he ran and was caught it was his head. So why not try to run? Because it meant he had no honor? Well Ned had his honor and I'm sure its keeping him warm in his crypt. As I said they could have my head before Id go to the watch but they'd have to catch me to get my head.

And how does any of this keep him from being a coward?
