Don't be rude Chicken Scratch. At any rate, I am starting to agree that discussion of the books are becoming too spoiler heavy in this thread. No more talking about the books in here guys. We have a whole thread for that in the Books and Music forum. Take it there if you want to talk books (that includes cryptic little hints CS).

There's no space between the Chicken and the Scratch dude, one word. In any case, we all do try to separate the two but there are truly some answers that can only be answered by the book and they are put in spoilers.

I don't care how to spell your user name. :oldrazz:

And none the less, questions don't need to be answered until we are at least at that season/book. I'm sure there were plenty of questions that could've been answered in Lost if someone read J.J. Abrams notes. Discuss the show in this thread in the context of the current show, not the books. If you can't do that, just stick to the book thread.

Well show version of Jorah, still a piece of crap in my book.

And you should watch your bedside manner as a mod. It does matter how it's spelled, a name is a name even if it is just a forum name to you. It means something to me, after all it is mine.

You're comparing GRRM's masterstrokes to that JJ TV show. Try to keep focused Matt. Personal attacks and derailing the thread trying to say someone who read books a tv show is based on is just silly and you know it. But the usual rules don't apply, even in spoilers here because you've got an ax to grind with the author, fans, and the show it seems.

hmph...This should be good

Yeah, I still don't care Chicken Scratch. ;)

Oy, I'm not comparing them, I am simply saying that spoilers are spoilers and I have no axe to grind. I am doing this because this thread has reached the point where discussion has less to do with the show and more to do with the books and people have accurately complained that this is a thread for TV discussion and that we have a book discussion thread in the literature forum. So yeah, take it there.

What spoilers have I left out there Matt? I try to, even the other day when you quited me I went back and told you to edit what you quoted.

As to the name, be a grown up will you. If you don't wish to deal on an equal level and refer to me by the name then it does not reflect well on you. Do you just call people anything that comes to your head? No, I would hope not.

So.... how about that battle huh? It was pretty good. :highfive:

So you are saying, I cant say

Jon Snow is going to [blackout] be great on the show and [/blackout] out of Daenerys character with [blackout] the creators choices they made a [/blackout] sweet [blackout] move in replacing the original actor, she acts with [/blackout] passionate [blackout] emotion, I [/blackout] love[blackout] her[/blackout]

:o

Tamzin Merchant fit the character GRRM envisioned better. But I am kind of a fan of how she is on the show. More adorable then annoying.

Yes it was, Darth Sky Walker.

Well played good sir, well played.

Giving ominous little hints like, "Don't comment on Stannis until you see what he is REALLY up to," is spoilerish. I am simply asking you to discuss the show. Not the books. In the thread for the show. If you can't comply though, I will be happy to ban you from this thread.

You take yourself too seriously. :oldrazz:

:argh: Enjoy Tebow as your starter come week 6.

I think I would like her more if her plot had anything to do with what is going on in the rest of the plot and if she did not overact with her eyebrows.

Ahhhhhhh!:shock

Yeah, I know. All the fun and cool characters are in Westeros and she is stuck with the weirdos. It was a lot better last season with Drogo and her brother around. Her constant complaining and threats don't help either. There is only so many times you can say Fire and Blood before it loses its effect.

It also feels jarring when you here her suddenly talk about things from across the sea as if it is brand new news, when it happened half a season ago.

As to the eyebrows. I know, but I am a sucker for it. See my crush on Emma Watson for further proof. :O

The two actresses need to have an eyebrow-off! May the best over actor win! :woot:

Arya likes to work those eyebrows as well. It seems all the young English actress these day went to the same school.

Exactly...
Book readers no read good, leave TV watchers alone...

Seriously, it's like the writers for the show had a bet to see how many times she could say it this season. "Fire and Blood," and "I AM THE MOTHER OF DRAGONS!" Are starting to get a tad annoying. And it doesn't help that she just doesn't seem all that smart. When things go wrong her fallback strategy is threatening people. Except she literally has nothing to threaten with. And it just makes her look like a foolish little girl.

And maybe that's the point because she's supposed to be...what? 16 in the books?

No, book readers have whole thread to discuss book. Discuss TV show in TV show thread. Stay on topic. End of story. :)

I believe she is 15-16 on the show. At this point in the book she is 13-14.

On the show Dany is a bit more aggressive and confrontational. Her age is a big factor in that, but considering her responsibilities, responsibilities she asked for, it is too much. Now she has gotten a lot of people killed and lost her dragons.

Lol, so technically this show qualifies as child pornography in many jurisdictions around the world. And those of us with the first season blu-ray set are in a heap of trouble! :hehe:

Haha, thats one thing I always thought was a bit funny. Some of my friends have read the books and told me the ages some of the characters were supposed to be and I was pretty surprised. I'm sorry, but the actress playing Danny doesn't even look close to a 16 year old. Of course, that's hollywood though. You have 20 to 30 year old actors playing teens. But now that I am in my early twenties, I just look at that and roll my eyes. I remember how the girls in my grade looked, and not too many of them looked like fully developed 25 year old women.

The actress is in her 20s, so I don't think so. I am also not sure if they have confirmed her age on screen. Actually, I don't think they have. That is just what has been said by D&D.
