Strong Belwas wasn't there and I'm quite certain that he won't be in the show at all. He seems to be one of those characters that would be easy to cut for a TV show.

I know changes have to be made... but sad news. Strong Belwas would have swooned the hearts of everyone. He had some great scenes.

I'm glad they have Sansa aware that it is Baelish smuggling her out of Kings Landing rather than her dealing with that knight Dontos and then Baelish stepping out of the shadows at the end of the season as the mastermind. This way is much more to the point and concise and it gives sansa time to grow and gain chemistry with baelish for what is ahead.

I prefer this way as well, but why did they bother introducing Ser Dontos at all if they were going to do this all along?

I know what our castration means I'm simply saying this is Esos and castration could mean the removal of only the penis. These Unsullied have their genitalia removed so that they may remain fully focused without the vices of men. And it is fantasy and in GRRM's world these men are the cream of the crop. Think Spartans but with 1,000 times the dedication. Something they didn't mention is that Unsullied don't even have personal names. They are literally just weapons and have no personal desires nor personality at all really.

The Unsullied initiation is actually close to Spartan practice. The young Spartan initiates final test was to go to the market and kill a slave.

IIRC, in the book it states that the Unsullied have their testicles and penises removed.

But it's clear why he was behaving almost reasonably. Needless to say, his intentions aren't pure, but neither are her's I suppose.

I kind of have a feeling that aspects of the Strong Belwas character will be integrated into Daario Naharis. (Obviously not the part about him being a unich, though.)

I think it served to show that Sansa wasn't just completely helpless. A big part of Sansa's storyline is her rude awakening from her fairytale views of life, and her adapting to the real world. At the beginning of Season 2, she's just lost her father, and is stuck in difficult situation with Joffrey.

It would have been easy to make her just a victim, but that scene shows that she's also learning how to play the game to survive. At that point, she was to be married to Joffrey, and her only option was to adapt. It shows that she's learning how to manipulate Joffrey, to a point. She's not quite as good with Cersei, but in a later episode, Tyrion recognizes her efforts when she sticks to her "Joffrey is my one and only true love" bit.

After reading about the effects of castration. Having an army of castrated soldiers...ehh not so good really. Danny should have really bargained the guy down for half off, due to that.

I could be wrong, but I feel like Martin might have addressed that in the books. I don't remember exactly. I know he talks about how other unichs are "soft" or something, and the Unsullied aren't. I don't know if it has something to do with a specific diet or some other part of their rigorous training that compensates hormonally.

Can someone remind me, was Qyburn ever with Rob's camp in the book? Dude is weird as hell in the books and deals in some dark ****. I look forward to this in the show.

Stannis Baratheon sucks - big time, what a complete pawn and fraud. I hope he ends up dying because of Melisandre, he'd deserve it. Can we resurrect Renley please?

Loved that little scene between Shae and Ros on the dock warning her about Littlefinger. Also loving Margaery Tyrell as well. Hopefully, she, Loras, and their grandmother (I'm assuming that who she is in the preview for next week) take down the Lannisters from within.

I like Robb but I don't like the way he's treating his mother. Yea she let Jamie go but she is the MOTHER. A son will never understand the actions of a mother when it comes to their child.

Daenerys is still my favorite character. Love her!

Yeah I think he was. Hmmm I wonder if he will play a part in MAJOR SPOILERS TO NON BOOK READERS [BLACKOUT] in the Red Wedding?[/blackout] Or they could have just changed it so that he could have more screen time. The bloody mummers probably won't show up as much as Rob.

The men in his camp want Jamie's head and were going to take it sooner rather than later whether Robb wanted them to or not. If Jamie had been killed - say bye bye to Sansa and Arya too if they had gotten their hands on her.

Cat did the smart thing, but she upset his bannermen and further destabilized the unity in the camp. Anything that does that during a time of war has to be dealt with. Not to mention the whole camp now thinks Rob can't control his mother. Keeping her under guard makes it look better.

I am fine with Selmy just coming out and saying it as opposed to going all of Season 3 to be under a false name. Viewers who pay attention will know instantly who he is (we can see it when readers can't) and those who don't will be even more confused at a callback to a minor player in Season 1 in Season 4.

The change that did annoy me was how badly they delivered on the cliffhanger from last season by not showing the battle. I know they can't have a Blackwater every season, much less for a first scene, but in terms of narrative storytelling, it is such an annoying thing that they should have not shown an entire Walker army if the aftermath is all off-screen.

Otherwise a great episode and, in inverse to Season 2, Jon and Dany's stories came out swinging. Between dragon fishing and Astapor and Ygritte and the "real" Caesar (sorry, Spartacus) as Mance Rayder, it only is getting better. Also, the Tywin and Tyrion scene was great, even if it is so ridiculous that he'd treat a cupbearer better than his own son. My thoughts.

He actually is intimidated by Margaery. I think it is kind of funny that such a sadist feels awkward around...a girl. Their rewrite of Margaery works here beccause she is a full grown woman who has obviously had...experiences. By her seeming so much more womanly than boyish Joffrey does a man, he feels inadequate. Kind of a funny turn around for the character. I am sure Sansa will suffer for his feelings.

It's Roose Bolton that takes over Harrenhal, Ramsay never leaves the North.

Qyburn is indeed with The Brave Companions/The Bloody Mummers but what you talk about that can still sort of play out. It's actually that company that takes Harrenhal for Roose in the second book but I suspect that Roose will just have his own men, not any sellsword companies, in the show.

I just watched all the episodes including the newest for S3 this past two weeks so I'm all caught up and... wow just wow! I'm in love with this show.

On a lighter note, should Dany trust Selmy, really? He may be the best king's guard ever, but the last two kings he guarded didn't exactly die of old age. And he did back her enemy and only came over because got fired.

Selmy is a good guy and more trustworthy than Mormont. Unlike Mormont he is there because of duty and devotion. Mormont is there cause he loves Khalisee in a not so professional way. Its going to cause tension from Mormont towards Selmy.

In the books you get to hear his thoughts and the guy is on the level.
