What ? I have no hate, it is a show, they are fictional characters.
Maybe to clarify to you, by "shed a tear" I meant, not be sad, like example when Lord Stark died, I cared for this character.

I was making a joke. You said "if I died".

If you want to understand Sam's actions you have to get In his head. It doesn't matter if the characters are fictional or whether you care about them. If you want judge the actions of one then you have understand why they do what they do. Sam knew what these men were capable of doing to women and children. He cared more about a defenseless woman and a baby than an already dying old man that he couldn't save or help.

Whatever happened to the obsidian weapons Sam found? I didn't see him grab them because they are...well...important if I remember correctly. It's been a long time since I read the books.

I wonder about this as well.

I understand that but since I have no real sympathy for Sam ( yet ? ) and everyone so far is a bad buy/woman ( either killed, caused many to died or suffer, slavery etc) except maybe Sansa, Westeross is full of brutality so I don't care for the background characters like the wives or the 300 watchers ( example ).

I got it now, typo error, bad grammar.
My fault, read the reply too fast and didn't payed close attention when typing, I'm watching Defiance while browsing the Hype....
Well, the joke was good :)

He should still have them, at least he didn't dropped them on screen. Aren't they the reason the WW didn't killed him ?

There's a joke/innuendo somewhere here :)

As for your question, I would say Brienne. Skilled with a sword, loyal, trustworthy and 6 feet tall.
I like to think Catelyn would do a pretty good job. She practically fulfills that role for Robb much of the time, when she's not being an impulsive mommy.

I take it there's never been a female Hand of the King. On that note, who among the many ladies we've met could've made for a good Hand?

Olenna seems rather savvy, she'd be good at all the politicking and small council stuff.

If the Greyjoys ever took the Iron Throne, I could see Yara as the King's right hand in a more militant sense, although how satisfied she'd be with the position is iffy.

The Queen of Thorns, Olenna Redwyne, would make a fantastic Hand of the King. That woman is resourceful, cunning, and down right dangerous to anyone who gets in her way or jeopardizes her plans.

dat head turn.

Varys has been a standout this season. Conleth Hill nails it every time he is on screen.

I need gifs of him from the S2 finale when he was throwing epic pouty faces at Littlefinger. :funny:

I liked him in this past episode, but a lot of times he annoys me because it's like every time he's on screen, he can't stop talking about the fact that he's a eunuch.

Well, if you got your **** cut off by a warlock, you'd want to talk about it too! :argh:

Beric is so awesome. Nice to see more followers of the Lord of Light and also nice to see the Batcave! His "ghosts" speech to the Hound was awesome and so was the Hound. I want Arya to get justice for Mycah but I like the Hound, but I dunno. This is too complicated dammit.

Im surprised no one has talked about the big scar on Beric's throat.

The guy has been through a lot since he was sent after The Mountain in season 1.

You know, the more I think about it, the less I mind behind further behind in the books than I am in the TV series. If I was further ahead in the books, I think I'd probably be getting pissy about whatever happens to be cut from the TV series. This way, I get something extra. It's like reading the best novelization ever.

I have to imagine I'll catch up at some point, but until then, I have no complaints.

I've forgotten the finer details from the books, and its always nice to be surprised. I as a reader I enjoy most of the changes because it keeps me guessing. Some of the members over at westeros.org go full on rage over changes and I just don't get it.

Indeed. I didn't mention it 'cos it creeped me out and I'm wondering what happened there :oldrazz: Hope he takes down the Mountain one day and anyone else who hurts the innocents.
What's Season 1 Beric wearing on top? That cape thingy that's tied around his body?

Looks like a simple dress cape. Used to see them in the 1600s and various other times in human history. Beric's got a fascinating story in this series and I can't wait til its told. Gonna blow some minds.
