Margaery Tyrell and Daenerys Targaryen are seriously becoming two of my favorite female characters - scratch that - characters on tv right now. Love them!

Margaery's cool.

Her grandmother, however, is ****ing awesome.

Lady Olenna is brilliantly cast and Diana Rigg is conveying her on screen with conviction.

Overall another fine episode. I too was disappointed that Mormont didn't get to have his dying conversation with Sam, but he needed to get away in a hurry. I do wonder if later in the series when Sam takes Gilly and [blackout]Maester Aemon Targaryen to Braavos I think it was to become a Maester himself, that maybe there could be a scene where Maester Aemon could bring up some of these pointers not shown in this week's episode, like Mormont asking his son for forgiveness etc. Which also leaves me to wonder since we have no Strong Belwas, I wonder if Jorah will take his place - or will Selmy still reveal Jorah's true intentions with why he's even with Dany in the first place, resulting in his supposed exile.[/blackout]

And her sacking of Astapor revealing she does speak Valyrian - brilliant scene overall especially that Season-ending like shot of the Unsullied marching like that! :)

Tywin's conversation putting his daughter in her place - LOVED IT! :D

Margaery's conversation with Sansa too was nice as I do think their friendship could indeed be genuine.

Also Ramsay's betrayal too - poor Theon! :p

what the **** FVD, stop posting all those book spoilers there...this isnt the damn Fire and Ice thread. People who only watch the show are going to read that.

Get some of that out of your post.

That's why I had it all blacked out. It's there for a reason is it not? Bloody hell it's not like I'm the only that's ever done it. If you don't want to know don't drag over the black it's as simple as that!

Okay I've trimmed it a little but like I said don't read the f'n lines if you don't want to be spoiled!!!!!!!!!!!! It's your own fault!

Look I am not trying to be an ass, but people can mistake those for TV spoilers. I've read the book so its ok. But some guy who loves the tv show is going highlight that and ruin his season.

It's better to avoid mentioning anything that happens beyond A Storm of Swords, whether it's spoiler tagged or not.

Hmm fair enough. So easy to get carried away I suppose lol! :p

It is because those of us who have read the books can see what is being set up for now and say -- I see what you did there! :p

Ditto on that.

So how many Crows are still at the Wall currently? That obviously wasn't the whole gang at Craster's. Like maybe half?

Oh calm down. It was blacked out and does nobody any harm if they don't click on it. It is actually a question of how they are going to do something likely in this season (or next depending where the cut-off line is). You make it sound like it is imdb where people just troll and spoil every other post.

Now to respond to your thoughts in a SPOILER TAG BELOW WHICH DEALS WITH EVENTS FROM THE THIRD BOOK...

I am very curious how they will handle Ser Jorah Mormont on the show. Quite frankly, he is a lot more likable than he was in the books and the actor adds some much needed texture to Dany's story. With that said, I do not think they will not have him exiled as that is a big part of the story which I (assume) will come back in a major way in the sixth book if it is ever written.

I suspect that it will have to play out somewhat differently as they have softened Mormont and he and Selmy do not seem very antagonistic after already being allied for several episodes. I will be curious how it comes out and whether they will depict Dany to be in the right to exile Mormont, as she was in the book, or make it more ambiguous. I actually vote for the latter, because casting shades of gray are always interesting. With that said, I imagine they will give him Belwas's role at the gates of one of the cities (I forget the name) because they likely want to build him up before they send him off. Just a guess.

No matter what I am curious how they rewrite Dany's story. Because, quite frankly, GRRM really fumbled the ball there. And I highly doubt that HBO wants one of their most popular characters to just sit around one city for Season 4 through Season 6.

If you have not read the books, do not click on that.

@Crowe
Is there anything going on the city because of Dany? Like assassin's guild wars, political strife etc.

BOOK SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOKS

I really hope they change Dany's story. I think Mereen is a good lesson for her but it doesn't need to be something that lasts more than a season. With the momentum they are building with her I don't see how they can justify having her stop for that long in Mereen. The Dany in the books is kind of pulling an Alexander the Great and getting side tracked in the Hindu Kush. Dany in the show is tearing through Essos like a bull with only Westeros in her sights.

Looks like a simple dress cape. Used to see them in the 1600s and various other times in human history. Beric's got a fascinating story in this series and I can't wait til its told. Gonna blow some minds.

Thanks. Yeah, he looks badass in both seasons. I hope he's a good fighter. His group feel like vigilantes in their Batcave :hehe: To be honest, I want the Hound to join them. I want the Hound to get a bit changed like Jaime but I wanna see the BWB more too. You could do a whole show on them.

HOW COULD YOU!!!!!! I HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to get too far ahead, but [blackout]She goes to the city of Mereen sometime in the third book and spends A LOT OF TIME there affecting everything. If you are asking about King's Landing. She has no role there.[/blackout]

I hope that is just vague enough.

Indeed, plus given how slow and tedious her adventures were in Qarth during Season 2, something that dragged the whole season down, I feel like the producers have learned their lessons. Too bad Martin did not.

I realised on rewatch that Bran's dream where Catelyn appears, she seems to be getting paler and angrier at Bran. That was scary, man. It's like when you die and you get pale as if your life force is going or something. That was creepy.

I noticed that as well, and (spoiler from book 3 )
it made me think of Lady Stoneheart. Anyone else get a Lady Stoneheart vibe there? I think Bran was seeing what his mother will become. A vengeful hateful shade.

I need that song in the end credits asap. ringtone that b****
