Game of Thrones - HBO part 2 - Part 7

That was probably the best episode all season and one of the best episodes of the entire series so far

I noticed that as well, and (spoiler from book 3 )
it made me think of Lady Stoneheart. Anyone else get a Lady Stoneheart vibe there? I think Bran was seeing what his mother will become. A vengeful hateful shade.

That is a great thought, but I think it was just the lighting of the dream plane rather than foreshadowing.

Dany's Valyrian accent and dialogue lights my fire. So sweet!

Does anyone still have that chart that matches up GOT characters with political figures?

That's the one. Thanks.

OK. So, when Tywin said "Everything I can", after that there's a shot of his letter so it looks like he's up to something.

Also, at Craster's Keep, Commander Mormont was writing something, presumably a letter or something. When Sam escaped, he took a sword but did he take that letter? I wonder if that's an important letter or just something that Mormont was writing.

I'm still waiting to see a real scene with Tywin and Joffrey. We've only seen them interact very briefly.

The ten second dialogue exchange in the S2 finale spoke volumes though. Tywin's "Thank you, your Grace" might as well have been "I don't take you the least bit seriously, you little ****, but you are my blood, so..."

I wonder if somebody recovers the letter and gives it to Sam when they eventually reach the Wall like say Grenn or Edd, hoping they're still alive.

Of course he is.

Good catch. I was disappointed he basically died off-screen after getting stabbed repeatedly by Rast. His character deserved to have some final words like in the book.

I agree; Twyin's horse taking a dump right there before the throne was a nice touch, too, as far as hinting at how Tywin feels about Joff.

Not that this would make any difference as far as Mormont's final words are concerned, but maybe he comes back as a White Walker.

Maybe Mormont will be the thing Sam kills.

As far as Grenn and Edd are concerned, I think it's safe to assume they're alive. When a character is killed on this show, it's usually pretty cut and dry. I can't recall any death of a regular on the show where you're left wondering if they're dead. Unless they're not dead. When Theon was telling people he had killed Bran and Rickon (even though I hadn't read the books at that point) I didn't buy it for a second. I knew there was no way they would kill a main character off screen, even if they were kids. I mean, they had already killed Lommy Greenhands and a baby quite graphically earlier that season. Hell, I'm still expecting [blackout]Benjen Stark to show up again at some point.[/blackout] (<<<Not really a spoiler, but it says something that hasn't happened in the books yet.)

GRRM really enjoys using that death fake out device. A good rule of thumb is that if you don't see someone die on screen, they're probably not dead. Even then there may be exceptions. This is a fantasy series, after all.

So basically, this guy just freed Theon and killed some guys so that he could bring him back and make himself look like a hero? Is that what is going on here or am I missing something?

Also, he looks like psychotic Rob Thomas in It's Always Sunny in Philadephia.

One other thing... the Night's Watch dude who killed Ser Daughterf**ker... was he Daggett's right hand man in TDKR?
