Damn damn DAMN. They go hard on this show. The changes from the book (preggers stabbin') were all pretty solid. I miss the Great Jon though. God, this show is amazing.

I can't wait for the follow up with Gay of Thrones. :P

Wo we wee wow.

Hodor was amazing this ep.

Strongly disagree. That RW was damn near perfect and the dialogue at the end was nearly verbatum.

Your points aren't even big deals. Why does Sandor need to kill people for it to be good? What happened with Greywind was better because it reduced budget, and it added to the cowardice of the Frey's. I mean if that is your two biggest complaints that is pretty weak.

My main gripe is

Talisa's slaying. I didnt need a womb stabbing scene in an already brutal and violent show that in the books sends all the proper messages of it's brutality without resorting to this "level". It was cheap to put Talisa's character there and show "that"..completely ruined it for me...matching dialogue be damned. I didnt like Grey Wind going out like a ***** either..the show has neglected the power of the wolves and there significance (although the other scene did start to counter this).

Yep agreed completely. It was perfect

I'm wondering if that's gonna be the closing image this season. Or maybe they'll go for something involving a wide shot like the last two.

If that were to happen this season would end perfectly for me, but I won't get my hopes up. I'm pretty sure I'll just have to wait until Season 4. I'm also highly anticipating another big wedding. :yay:

For those that watched the show...Remember when Tywin brough Tyrion and Cersei to his table and he was writing those letters and stamping with Lannister seal?

Now you know why he is so boss

There were a lot of scenes with Tywin writing letters. Watching them while knowing what he was cooking up makes them genius.

The show has *******, dongs, men being cleaved in half, horse's heads being cleaved off, a weiner torture scene...but stabbing a pregnant lady over her clothes crossed the line?

The show has done the best it can with the effects budget it has. The wolves can't be on screen very long. Its the nature of the medium. So that really isn't a fault of the show or the showrunner's at all.

As for Talissa, I agree it was brutal and damn near made me sick, but it got the point across there is nothing these Frey bastards won't do, and it set the brutality and tempo of the scene perfectly. Poor Talisa:(

i'm so heart broken...there is no hope...there are no gods

That's what I'm thinking, but I'd put what you quoted in spoiler tags for those who haven't read the books.
Actually I haven't read the books either. I'm a dirty cheater. :whatever: And I STILL didn't see THAT s*** coming.

Although I figured something bad was building for awhile. And when Mr. & Mrs. Robb [BLACKOUT]named their unborn kid, I was like "Fine, why not just say you're three days from retirement while your at it?!"[/BLACKOUT]

Wait, does this make Edmere the new Sansa?

****, I completely forgot about Edmure. I'm pretty sure in the books (someone correct me if im wrong) no one knows for sure what happened to him, and he hasn't been heard from for a couple books so he may yet be alive. Considering this, the show will probably go its own direction with him.

Oh, and thank god Blackfish went to take a piss.

Yes I do think the stuff with Talisa may have been done to even horrify the book readers...man yeah with that pre stabbing talk it was so sad...not to mention my wife is watching it with me and 14 weeks pregs.

But no one cares...because it's fiction? I think everyone here is safe from the stabby Freys.

Was it shocking? Yes. Is it a reason for you to complain about an already brutal show? Neh.

Yeah. After the Red Wedding, when I was reading the books I would start to freak out whenever characters started making plans for the future.

No, we found out what happened to him. [BLACKOUT]He was forced to stay married to the Frey daughter, he got her pregnant, and the Freys used him as a hostage so they could get Riverrun. Jaime ends up making a deal with them.[/BLACKOUT]

I am emotionally drained right now.

Isn't Edmure held captive after they consummate the marriage? For some reason, I get the impression that his captivity won't be as pleasant as Sansa's.

I've had this discussion before on these forums. Fiction or not, seeing something like that has a viceral effect on people. Yeah, I know its fake, but that doesn't mean it looked any less horrifying.

hopefully they show the after math with Robb...

yeah greywind should have went out like a badass but they didn't have the budget for it I atleast would have like to have seen him on the battlefield once

AH yes, that is right. Been too long since I've read the books. Thanks for clearing that up.

Considering the actor they cast, I hope they do a bit more with him than leaving him a captive.

Being shocked =/= being offended. If that offended people then I would guess that it's time to watch something else. I am surely sure that more horrific stuff happens down the road.

A shame that we didn't get to see [blackout]Cat go completely bat**** crazy and start clawing her own face up[/blackout], but that was as brutal as brutal can get.

Oh, I thought you was saying people shouldn't be shocked by fiction. We are on the same page. Three seasons into the show people should know what to expect.

Edmure gets put up on the gallows when they are laying siege to Riverrun. Then Jaime releases him to get Blackfish to surrender, and then sends him to Casterly Rock with his wife to live as a hostage.

EDIT: Nevermind. Others already cleared everything up.
