So much for people hoping they wouldn't do that...

I agree. They really dropped the ball on Grey Wind. He looked so awesome in season 2, but when he showed up in this season, he just looked like a regular dog. As for Ghost, he's not in this part of the story a lot, so that's the reason for his absence. The one we've seen the least (besides Nymeria, who's still out in the wild somewhere) has got to be Shaggydog. He only pops up in maybe two episodes per season.
 Totally forgot about Nymeria - which I think just goes to show that they haven't been doing justice to the wolves. We should at least have some mentions of her (though I haven't gotten to that point in the books, [BLACKOUT]isn't there supposed to be a lot of talk about this giant 'she-wolf' that's been drawing in/taking command of a bunch of other wolf packs and is terrorizing the Lannister camps or something?[/BLACKOUT])

Rather than wasting the ending on Dany (last week's episode was a good ending point for her story), the writers should've had a second wedding and [blackout]killed Joffrey[/blackout]. This episode played out like his swan song, plus the viewers needed something sort of upbeatish, give the audience some home after last week's uber-depressing ending. As it is, the last scene was super underwhelming, which is unfortunate because this was the show's best season yet.

Aw, I was hoping it would end with [blackout]Lady Stoneheart[/blackout]

There was some good stuff in there like the Lannister table meeting, but it was the weakest finale by far and IMHO prob the worst episode of the season.

Much to look forward to next season though.

Kind of disappointed in the end scene. Seasons 1&2 left us in shock with the dragons/white walkers. This one left us with dany having a big following.

I was kind of underwhelmed by this episode in general...that said...I always enjoy the Lannisters on screen. Varys is always entertaining as well, I just love his presence whenever he is on the screen.

Lord Bolton gives me a cunning maniacal demeanor similar to Lord Tywin.

The Lannister table meeting, followed by Tyrion and Cersei's conversation about him is exactly why this episode felt like [blackout]Joffrey's[/blackout] swan song. Should've pulled the trigger. What a finale that would've been. Instead we get a bunch of people screaming gibberish while bad CGI is painted on the screen. I get that this is the show's trademark, really shocking penultimate episode and really anti-climactic finale, but this was anti-climactic to a fault.

I haven't read past Book 1, and I've got a feeling that whole Mhysa thing is going to implode on Dany. I was hoping the last scene would be Mance and an army of wildlings and giants marching toward either the Wall or Castle Black. Or Mance meeting with the leader of the giants. I take it that, as of now, the only threat Westeros knows of is the White Walkers and the Wights. Compounding that with Mance's army would've been a stronger teaser. Looking forward to Stannis and Davos' plot in S4.

Well, at least that looked better. I feel bad since I reassured my sister it looked like garbage...didn't there.

In either case, a decent episode but a meh ending.

The confrontation between Tywin and Joffrey could have been better, sow seeds for viewers that Joffrey's days are numbered. I'd like to have seen it end with Bran et al coming out from the Wall and Coldhands waiting, keep with the supernatural ending.

The Theon and Ramsay scenes are torture (pun intended) to watch because of how repetitive all their scenes are but lead nowhere. However, it was necessary to show how much of a dick (not sure if pun intended) Balon is and how Yara wants to get him back.

Arya killing the Frey cronies with Sandor was great.

We finally got an episode with more than one Stannis scene that portrayed the Davos/Mel conflict well. I'm getting the sense we'll see Davos try to get lords to help sooner than it happened in the book, maybe so viewers get some hope with "The North Remembers." Though shipping Gendry off was sortof like "Ok, we made this change with this character...so how do we fix it?" "Meh, just stick him in a rowboat."

The ending with Dany was cliche and unnecessary, we saw her ending last week.

And obvious imagery with Jon and Dany being carried is obvious.

weakest season finale by far!i wish they would have a season ending as good as their episode9's are each season.i knew it would end on dany somehow but a lot of the episode was boring the lanister stuff was good and arya getting a little payback was cool too

Serious question: Does anyone give a **** about Dany?

Followup question: Does anyone who hasn't read the book give a **** about Dany?

Yes I give a **** about Dany. I want her to win the whole game. She's hot and she has mo'****** dragons.

Also, I was kinda expecting an OMG ending scene but I guess they had to do something upbeat after the remote throwing shock last weekend.

Hmmm underwhelming finale. I really thought they were going to show a particular part of the book tonight...I guess next season

As for you question...The answer is mostly YES TO BOTH...People I ask from both, love Khaleesi and want her to win the throne. Guys think shes hot. I'd hit it...She's also MOTHER OF DRAGONS!

Uhm, I'm pretty sure Dany is probably one of the most popular characters on the show so far. I was just reading a survey that was conducted which asked "Who's your favorite GOT character" and I think Dany had easily won with Tyrion in a close second.

She's just an awesome female character in a landscape where kickass female characters are few and far between. I haven't read the books and I love her.

The season finale was a little underwhelming, but looks be great setup for what's to game.

Amazing season all around though!

I would like Dany's story a lot more if her main goal wasn't freeing every slave. It's a noble cause but should come second to being a conqueror and amassing an army to win back the Iron Throne.

You do realize that is how she is building her army. Soldiers either fight for gold or fight for honor...she has no gold.

You don't become a great conqueror if you don't have people that believe in you and your cause. Her going around and freeing slave cities (and having dragons) is only going to work in her favor once she reaches mainland Westeros.

Those emaciated men, women, and children sure will make great soldiers :whatever:

I know this is the road she's traveling, it's still stupid.

Except she's in Essos, a continent that heavily relies on slave trade and labor for its commerce. She's only making herself enemies while she's still lingering there wanting to liberate every city.

I'm probably in the minority but I'm indifferent to Dany. Plus, while reading the books, I felt like her story just kind of drags and doesn't really go anywhere...-_-

Sidenote: The scenes with Ramsey and Theon started becoming very tedious and overdone. We get it...Ramsey is sick and Theon is being tortured. Way to beat a dead horse.

^^That was probably the dumbest argument and response on here I have ever read.

If that ever happens.

If that ever happens.

I feel the same way. Like seriously...is she ever going to get to Westeros? Five books later and this chick is still on a whole different continent freeing slaves. Knowing her story from reading the books is what makes me so uninterested in her character...which is weird, considering she is the chick with the dragon but her storyline seems the most uneventful.
