What I got from it was that she has an "army" in the sense that this army actually loves her.

Yep, and I think this is one of her biggest strengths - people LOVE her. She's had people pledge to die for her, work in her own interests etc. With all the deceit, deception, and defection going on in mainland Westeros that is a powerful tool for Dany.

If we can keep that going when she gets to other side of the ocean, she could be mighty powerful. There aren't a lot of people over there that have that kind of power.

Anyway you can make this all one image? I'm on my phone.

I've only seen season one so far but as question for those who are caught up. Does Cersi ever NOT have that smug look on her face?

Ok episode. Weak finale. That final scene was about as underwhelming as they come. Oooo Dany has freed a bunch of slaves who can't support themselves and destroyed the economy of an entire city. Any competent person or strategist would be terrified at the sight of all those people pouring out expecting to be taken care of.

I'd say that they are very high. I'm quite sure Victarion will be cast, but not until he really starts becoming important.

It will be very hard to manage what both characters do in ADWD if this happens. Pretty much impossible unless they really alter the story.

Nope. Well she [BLACKOUT]broke form last night in one scene[/BLACKOUT].

splitting this book into two seasons was a great choice. Imagine all of this in 5 eps....

Sadly that was actually the fate of season one and two.

MOAR Arya/The Hound scenes, please. :o:up:

Damn you Jon Snow. Ygritte cried and I cried. :(

Yeah Stannis isn't as resolute in the show as he is in the books. In the books Davos points out to Stannis that as a King it's his duty to protect the people of his realm, and that if Stannis truly wants to be king he has to put his people first.

**** if Davos would have said that it would have really nailed his relationship with Stannis.

I'm really disappointed they've cut some of Stannis best, character-defining lines. They kept his "We must all do our duty" but kinda rushed it.

One of his best was, "It is not a question of wanting. The Throne is mine as Robert's heir, that is the law."

What they should have done with the Stannis/Davos/Mel scene was as Stannis was saying his title, Davos interrupt and say "and Protector of the Realm!" then give him the note and tell him, "You've put the cart before the horse. You've been trying to win the throne to save the realm. But if you don't try to save the realm now, there will be no throne."

I loved Bran's story about how killing a guest beneath your roof is something the gods can't forgive...

House Frey, prepare to reap the rewards of your own *****ery. :o:up:

Yes, we agree as when the probability gets low the odds go up (just making it clear in case there's some misunderstanding).

My hope is that during Lord Walder's funeral (he'll die in his sleep, guaranteed), that Arya will burn down the Twins with every Frey inside as a sacrifice to R'hollor.

I think he'll outlive everyone in his family, honestly. The petty, vindictive old bastard...

Don't read if you aren't aware of future storylines:

I was surprised that they didn't reveal Stoneheart, especially after that line you mentioned by Bran. All the same though, that line for me pretty much guaranteed that the character will be used.

Between the RW, the absolutely vile "here comes the King in the North" reveal (which his little sister witnessed to compound the hideousness of it all) and Walder's smug victory speech, the audience has been perfectly positioned to be absolutely salivating for some Frey blood to be spilt.

So I can't see them not using Stoneheart. The audience will probably love her initial butchery of the Freys and co., but I don't think that will last for long once they realise how twisted she has become.

Speaking of Walder Frey, did anyone notice the irony of his dialog with Bolton?

"The Blackfish escaped."
"An old man, on the run, no allies. I've got Tywin Lannister backing me. Who does he have?"
"As you say."
"Must have been torture following that stupid boy around the whole country."
"He never took my advice. If only he'd been a trifle less arrogant."

If you don't get it:
Bolton is concerned that the Blackfish is missing. Walder Frey doesn't care because he has the Lannister's support. Bolton then tells him that Robb died because he was arrogant and never took his advice. In other words, Walder Frey should be afraid that the Blackfish isn't dead.

Not afraid to say Tywin is my favorite character. What a badass
