Game of Thrones - HBO part 2 - Part 9

Just finished reading A Clash of Kings.

Looking back on Season 2 of the show, naturally there are things that books can do that a visual medium (like tv) can't, but at the same time there are some things I wish they would've tried to touch on at least a *bit* more in the show. One example that stood out to me (though, admitedly, I'm one that has complained before about not seeing enough of Ghost )...

instead of making it seem like Bran is the *only* one of the Stark brood having 'wolf dreams' I wish they would've shown that Jon has wolf dreams as well with Ghost.... things like that

Now it's on to starting Book 3 (we'll see if I can finish it before Season 4 starts... considering it took me over a year to read ACoK, who knows )

I have S1 Targaryen, S2 Lannister, so....I wouldn't mind them rereleasing Stark for s3 so I have the big 3. But I wouldn't mind having Tyrell as a cover.

They announced those Blu-ray/DVD sets awfully early. But I figured they'd release it in February like they did for Season 2. I'll stick with the regular cover like I did for seasons 1 and 2, but I'd be surprised if the Baratheon cover didn't win the vote.

Ugh, I hate how they are waiting to release Season 3 right before Season 4 starts. They could easily release that later this year.

Definitely buying the House Stannis Baratheon of Dragonstone cover if the regular season 3 cover is the crappy promo with the dragon shadow. I just hope Best Buy has it for $30-40ish.

Just looked on Facebook, the exclusive covers are either Tyrion/Jon/Dany, Tyrell/Baratheon/Tully, OR the old Stark/Targaryen/Lannister. Only one set will win and the latter is winning again unfortunately.

I thought the same thing, but I have season 3 safe and stored on my DVR anyway, so it's not a huge deal for me. I'm probably not going to marathon it again until shortly before season 4 premieres. It's standard practice with TV shows anyway. Studios in general always release tv seasons on DVD about a month or earlier before the next season airs. In this case, I don't see what the problem would be with releasing it in time for Christmas.
