Well, Arrow is fall. The Carrie Diaries is midseason. Concievably, they could promote the crap out of both. I just hope they do the same for Cult, since that's also midseason. Don't wanna see that get lost in the shuffle.

Oh, Parker..... you don't need to lash out for attention like this. :csad:

It's great to see all the positive feedback for the pilot, they should capitalize on that and put a trailer with TDKR.

They'll probably put a trailer before the previews, like they usually do with tv shows.

Most probably but it would be cool if they made the trailer a big deal to generate buzz.

Nice to hear all that good feedback about the show. And so far no negative comments about Amell's acting, which is encouraging since that's the only aspect that worried me in the clips we've seen so far.

Apparently Stephen Amell tweeted that the pilot was well received by international buyers at wb screening. If anyone could find reactions from the international buyers would be great.
Apparently Kristin Kreuk web managed to get quotes from international buyers who went to cbs la screening which was earlier and amongst the new shows by cbs studios, beauty and the beast seemed to be hot favourite.
I think this year is going to be a great year at cw.

I heard also that Carrie Diaries also had pretty positive reactions from reviewers who never liked sex and the city.
Its obvious Carrie Diaries and Arrow are the ones with the most buzz. I saw let CW concentrate on promoting Arrow first. Carrie Diaries is already getting plenty of attention from the media.

Ya its probably from that licenser screening thing we heard of the other day. But still good for all the buzz. As for a full trailer. I still think we won't see anything else new to once the show gets into production in july. And probably some footage/trailer at comic con if they attend.

Alright so the LA screening for international buyers gave very very positive response for Arrow.

Reported on deadline

Among the new shows gettings thumbs-up is Warner Bros’ superhero CW drama Arrow. “It was surprisingly good,” said Ruediger Boess, head of acquisitions for Germany’s ProSiebenSat1. “It’s darker and older than the standard CW shows, and its very well cast.”

WB's other shows like Newsroom, The Revolution and The Following all received pretty positive reactions from international buyers as well. Newsroom got a standing ovation and The following was described as a darker criminal minds.
Other networks didn't receive that much headlines with their shows.

Seth that is the same stuff reported back a page just from a different source. Now I can't wait to see who ends up as series producers, writers, and any more series cast members.

No Cat Grant In The Arrow Pilot
CRAIG BYRNE

A few months ago, there was talk that the DC Comics character Cat Grant, who has appeared in animation like Young Justiceand in live action on Lois & Clark (played by Tracy Scoggins) and Smallville(with Keri Lynn Pratt and Emilie Ullerup in the role), would be making an appearance in The CW’s Arrow pilot.

Now that we’ve seen the pilot, we can confirm that the scene, which was at least in earlier drafts of the script, has been changed; rather than Cat Grant, another reporter makes the TV announcement that Oliver Queen is alive.

There is at least what appears to be a visual reference or hint to another DC character within the opening minutes of Arrow, which will hopefully lead to something more later in the series… but for now, Arrow appears to be a Cat Grant-free zone.

I'll probably check this out as the footage impressed me for a CW show.

A hint to a villain or another superhero?

It's a villain.

Deathstroke in fact, one of the guys from IGN I think said his mask is in the background of a shot.

Yeah right, now that you mention it, I think it has been mentioned before. Forgot about that.

Ah well that is cool and hopefull we will see himm used down the road. Ads for heroes I still say it would be best to start with street level guys, ie wildcat, the question if we get heroes down the road. Speaking of that who are some more street level guys.

Bendis just tweeted that watching the pilot was exactly like watch batman begins the tv show - with lots of emphasis on exactly.

If true, that might be good for drawing in an audience, but it displeases me a little bit that the character could wind up been seen as a copy of, which is something it took years to change peoples opinions of

everyone always compares this to that for any character or movie. Just if the pilot is like BB doesnt mean it will stay like that through its series run. There is alot of things that can and will likely change and evolve over the course of the show. So it can move past BB comparison.

Yeah, pilots usually have a different tone that the rest of the season. So from the pilot, it'll set the tone and then the rest of the season will develop a life of their own.

Totally look at any shows that ladted a bit. Tone, characters, story, props/setting change. And grow more over time.
