Green Arrow series in the works at The CW - Part 2

I haven't seen any other networks that actually put in much effort, this is probably like the 2nd or 3rd or 4th promotional poster that I saw, on top of the comics, the comic con gift bag. Seems like people talk s*** about everything. I don't see how

Is any better or worse. I can easily talk s*** and say this is like a generic ABC show, full of mediocre actors and melodrama just like all their other shows.

Nice poster from the other day. Only thing I don't like is how photoshoped it is. Like most tv show posters been.

Also come on yes that is what cw was under dawn o control. And we know the new prez wantss to change that view. So let's see what directions the network can go first.

Well, I didn't say network posters were God's gift to the world, either. I just find it disappointing. I was hoping a little more like him in full costume than a scarred, shirtless Amell with the logo slapped on.

It's one poster and we've gotten a slew of other promo images. Mountains and molehills, people.

Arrow Is Casting A Manhunter

An interesting Tweet came from actress Ashley Scott this afternoon:

@iamAshleyScott: Reading for @DCComics show #Arrow today. So excited about stepping into Kate Spencer’s shoe’s.

For one, this is interesting because Ashley Scott played Helena/the Huntress in The WB’s short-lived Birds Of Prey adaptation. That show also had a Black Canary, so it all comes together, in a way. Note that although the tweet says that she did a reading, we’re not sure that means that she has been confirmed for the role. (As I’m not an actor, I’m not sure where “reading for” falls into the process… maybe it’s just an audition?)

Even more interesting is that Kate Spencer is another character from the DC Universe – federal prosecutor by day, and vigilante “Manhunter” the rest of the time. This version of the character first appeared in Manhunter #1 back in 2004. Arrow’s Marc Guggenheim wrote Manhunter in DC’s later issues of Justice Society Of America.

You know, I’d watch a Manhunter TV series… just saying.

We should also point out that even with Kate Spencer coming on to Arrow, that doesn’t guarantee her scarlet alter ego will come into play. After all, it’s doubtful that Arrow’s Felicity Smoak will actually be Ronnie Raymond’s stepmother. It’s still a cool reminder of the larger DC Universe that the Arrow producers are playing with.

No word on when Kate Spencer is coming on to the show, but we’re assuming from the timing that the auditions are for Episode 5 or 6.

This show is really going for broke with DCU characters.

Don't know the character but sounds like another nice dc character. That in time can develop into possible hero identity and maybe bee another way to get dinah to become black canary.

It seems like BOP is slowly but surely building up in this tv series. I would totally not mind a BOP team formation in season 2 or 3

Plus the girl who played Barbara Gordon in Birds of Prey was excellent. Without a doubt the best live action Babs.

Would be fun if they do try to form a bop group in the show.

ofcourse they would need to include huntress and batgirl and poison ivy

Not really bat characters likely be off limits they could just have a different formation of the group. Hasn't there been a few different grouping without bat family heroes/villains in it?

Well, black canary and batgirl/oracle has always been in the team.
