I don't get why they just didn't do that same "costume" but instead of black leather make it white leather. Really, is it so hard for them to imagine white leather???
 
Well I know that the X-Men/Dark Knight approach has lost all its popularity since The Avengers, but what would you prefer, white-spandex? :oldrazz:

Even every character in the Avengers had an updated costume from their 60s counterparts; I love the balance they had in First Class. But even then we're talking about an adaptation that really wants to cash-in on the "gritty" aspect of it all, and it's actually a convincing take since this is ultimately a show about vigilantes. I'm looking at it as the type of "vigilante" that Batman was voicing against throughout the Nolan films: the one "lost in the scramble for his own gratification" or the ones who're taking onto the streets after Batman came into being. Now, I know that's a shot at Green Arrow but it also means that we're looking at a character who is just as driven and bent on his cause as Two-Face; someone who's as willing to do "what needs to be done" in every dark and Machiavellian way imaginable. This isn't about a city where symbolic entities like Batman or the Joker are around, this is a hard-as-the-pavement take on someone who's out there trying to bring justice when no one else will. And I love that.

For that sort of "realism" -- despite the spiteful reputation of the word in this genre -- I'm willing to ignore some of the more flamboyant characteristics.

But hell, maybe I'm giving them wayy too much credit. Maybe they're just cashing in on the "black is sexy" edge and thinking that "silly comic-book costumes don't work in reality." Which... isn't at all what I'm trying to say here.
 
Making the costume white leather, or even just a white jacket wouldn't have been too hard. But whatever, it's not going to affect the quality of the show itself.
 
A white jacket is fine. But she is wearing a white bodysuit, she will look like this on live action tv.

It looks lame. I can deal with a white top. Actually a White leather jacket seems abit lame. A white top, I can accept.
 
Walking around at night in White Leather is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've heard in this topic.
 
I can deal with white pants or cream jacket. But ofcourse paired with Black or beige. I think white on white is a little silly. Thats not to say I'm totally satisfied with the current black leather suit. But its definitely a realistic look that I would choose. I'm hoping she regularly wears more white stuff in her everyday life.
 
When does this show start? Honestly, not having a lot of hope for it because of the crazy premise but I'm going to give it a try. I just think it's asinine, asiten, asieleven and so on for a superhero show with no super powers or super villains because of realism. If this show succeeds, we may get a Plastic Man show without powers and when he's a teenager. Not being sarcastic but just being real. There! My vent is done. When does it start? ;)
 
Have there been any wary reviews of the pilot?

I've been looking and haven't seen any. But it is one of the most anticipated shows of the fall along with The Mindy Project. :dry: Seriously, it is. Arrow I'm giving a try but I wouldn't watch the Mindy Project if you offered me to sleep with 3 porn stars at once.




Well.......................let me rephrase that......................depending on the porn stars. :o
 
Mindy Project was a waste of my time. I can't seem to get into any of this year's rookie comedy. Ben and Kate and Partners was the most acceptable amongst all of them. There wasn't even one nearly as good as New Girl or HIMYM, BBT.

Then dude join my thread on the subject! I hate that show like ants hate anteaters. They put that show in the same breath with Arrow. Again, I'm giving Arrow a try but I wish they would accept the entire character and not just parts of him.

Change the boots and I think it could work.
 
Geez man. This is DC/Supernatural all over again. First it was Smallville and Supernatural now it's Arrow and Supernatural. I want this show to do well but in my gut man.........................................but then again this is the CW. If 5 people saw it, CW would consider it a hit. No way should Gossip Girl or 90210 be on tv still. :o
