This may have been discussed already, but is the trailer music the main Superman theme in this movie? Or is it just part of the soundtrack? Has anyone heard the main MOS theme yet?

I think the main hero theme will be the segment from 2 minutes onwards. Zimmer likes to get characters down to simple, identifiable sounds.

I hadn't heard that by itself yet....nice! I'm really liking this theme more and more every time I hear it. The violin triplets feel like they're saying "don't look away. Something AWESOME is about to happen....".

Yeah the Bible score is amazing. I like Nativity, Rise up in faith/ faith and the main theme which is also used for the creation chorale. Some of it sounds a bit Dark Knightish at times lol.

Thanks AnneFan. Yeah I've heard it. It really sounds like it's building towards something, especially with that base crescendoing. I like the piano start too. I wonder if that is a piano version of the theme and it will be played by a different instrument .

It kind of sounds like music for the Olympics or some sporting event too lol.

Oh snap. I guess we do have the same taste. Nativity is hauntingly beautiful. I like the instrumental version of it too (Roma's Lament).


BTW did my signature always look like that? Why do I feel there is a line missing on it somewhere? Did it ever have anything else as well?

Totally....or a diet pill commercial. But those kinds of things are often interchangeable in editing. The piano part is nice.

The challenges of creating a Superman score are daunting because Superman is so iconographic, said Snyder. I really feel like what Hans created is perfect. Subtle and stirring, epic and commanding. Honestly, Hans crushed it.
