Is the music from the Nokia trailer in the soundtrack? I think it was used for the "You Are Not Alone" trailer too.

It's called Arcade, not sure if it's in all editions of the OST. A variation on Zod's theme? I love it either way.

Great, I was really liking that song. I notice that the songs from the MoS trailers end up on the soundtrack but TDKR didn't.

I've no doubt its popular, as are almost all Zimmer scores. At the risk of being misunderstood, though, I'll note that Justin Bieber's music is popular but many would hesitate to call it "something special." I'm not saying Zimmer is like Bieber (I'll head those straw men off at the pass) but I am saying popularity doesn't necessarily translate to quality in any direct logical fashion.

I get your point that popularity doesn't necessarily equate to quality, but they don't use Bieber music for academy award winning movies....I'm just sayin :yay:

No, you're quite right - Bieber doesn't provide the musical blunt force trauma, utter lack of subtlety, and sheer inanity of the likes of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' electronic grinding, droning, and dissonance.

The Academy has lost all its credibility in judging film scores, IMO. Just as they have lost all their credibility in nearly every other category.

Not happy because some of your favorite actors or films didn't get nominated? I think the Academy for the most part makes very sound decisions on what is nominated.

We were discussing winners, not nominations. I for the most part have no qualms with the nominations themselves.

which is even more down to personal opinion, throwing a fit about who ends up winning is just ridiculous, I generally at the least think that the winners of these awards did a damn good job, but we all have different opinions so I can hardly expect the winners to be chosen from my pick of the nominations.

That would be "I will find him" which is included as Track 13 on both the standard and the limited edition. The closing credits of the Nokia trailer also use a portion from "You die or I do" (Track 10, standard and limited).
No need to worry, it's all there.

"You can save all of them"

(insert powerful rhythmic beats)

Holy... :wow:

you're the one that's complaining about them not choosing your favorite nominees (which yes, you ARE doing), not me.:whatever:

Saying I disagree with the Academy's recent record of choosing winners means I'm throwing a fit? That seems an uncharitable way of representing my opinion.

I never said you were complaining either... ?

I liked the IM2 OST better.....I like AC/DC lol, but still the MOS OST just sounds a hell of a lot better than both to me :)

Yeah but that isn't an actual score, it's just music being played at random scenes in the film...I hate that, and I love Ramin Djawadi's work (Game of Thrones hello?)...but the scores for the first two Iron Man films were non existent, in fact apart from a few shining tracks, most of the MCU scores have been incredibly lackluster until Brian Tyler's (this time we actually give a s***) score for IM3.

As for MOS being better...what can I say, on a bad day Zimmer is better than 85% of the guys who put out stuff, it really does seem that Zimmer works best when he's on a Nolan production and I can only imagine what he has in store for us on Interstellar.

no streaming yet :(

Not yet.

'Look to the Stars', 'Flight' and 'What Are You Going to do When You're Not Saving The World?' are already bookmarked to be among my favourite cues.

And yes, the latter cue title is really long. :oldrazz:

I think it (confirmed by WaterTower to be the trailer 3 music, extended) could possibly close out the movie and into the credits, if it's Lois asking Clark a question while at the Daily Planet.

Goodbye My Son and Flight 2 will be my favorites.

According to the track list I saw Arcade is a bonus track on the deluxe edition of the score

Hoping Walmart carries that as well as all the other MoS stuff

Absolutely love both Zod's theme and Clark's theme from what we have heard so far.

Yeah same. I'm also glad I don't have one clear favourite, so far there's a fair few competing for best track.

And this is all without seeing the film, imagine how powerful these tracks will feel after we've seen them play over some huge moments on screen, such as his first flight. I just know I'm going to well up at some stage.
