Ah well, looks like you guys beat me to it! Was going to post about the final workout webisode.

Loved Henry as Supes. Hope he stays in the role for a long time.

I don't think Cavill looks anymore like Reeve than anyother handsome white dude with dark hair and blue eyes. They both look like Superman and because Reeve is so iconic in the role our minds play tricks on us and finds more of a resemblance than there is.

Yeah, I mean, there's a slight resemblance but I'm glad they didn't just cast an actor who looked the most like Reeve. We've already seen what happens when you try and do just that.

Pretty much. The only 2 times I thought he looked like Reeve any more than any other dark haired & ...etc dude were when he was showing the strain on his face in close up.

Did they use some effect on his eyes? I've been watching the 30 second "u let them handcuff you" clip and his eyes look like they are glowing/shinning. Is it just the black hair that makes them stand out more?

I've seen this film thrice now, and I can firmly state that HC's face didn't morph into Reeve's.

I've seen worse at my gym. :o I'm just glad he still has good posture with those pecs. :oldrazz:

I'm sure he devoted time to legs as well. In that particular still from the video, it appears that he's only in the initial stages of his workout. Also, the muscle group you're focusing on at the time always looks bigger because of the post-workout swelling phase.

It's also very common and recommended to focus on only certain muscle groups per day.

I'm not lovin it either, but it's not horrible and bad ones are rare. Hey where the chest hair in those workout pix? It looks like he waxed.
Probably post-Immortals waxing. I seem to recall he had to do some re-shoots for that film at one point after he had already moved on to MoS training. People here were freaking out because he was looking a bit leaner again there for while, lol.

Also, after seeing it twice, I too am quite confident his face never morphed into Reeve's.

Glad that Henry Cavill gives us a Superman we can finally root for.

He reminds me of Dan Jurgens artistic version of Superman.

I really love the ending of the movie. Seeing Henry as "Daily Planet" Clark Kent gave me goosebumps...

Couple that with the music and roll credits?

ABSOLUTELY EPIC.

Welcome To The Planet

best line ever people give goyer crap but he is a genius for that line

Agreed. I was also pretty fond of "Krypton had its chance."

Honestly, I really didn't have too much of an issue with Goyer's writing of MoS. There's really nothing that particularly stood out that bothers me.

Epic is the right word. I've watched the movie twice and still don't think I've fully absorbed it. Cavill is just perfect in the role. He has a warmth, strength and innocence about him on screen that screams Superman. He doesn't have a ton of dialogue but he says so much in a simple look or smile. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him and not just because he is inhumanly handsome.

Cavill's MoS workout and diet plan:

I think we can all afford to down 5000 calories a day?
But then you'd have to get down to 2500 calories a day to get those muscles all sinewy. :oldrazz: The normal sedentary guy gets about that much. For someone working out a lot and at Henry's size, that's akin to starving.

I weightlift and I'm already noticing that my legs are looking kind of fat from all the muscle gain. However, my arms and torso are still 100% fatless, so if I could move some from my thighs to my arms/chest, that would be great. :oldrazz: Pretty sure if I dieted, my upper body would look like a skeleton while my lower body would look amazing. :funny: I think guys have it easier, since the weight goes on more evenly and gets taken off more evenly too.

Here's Buzzfeed on the National Guard video: http://www.buzzfeed.com/mattbellassai/heres-henry-cavill-working-out-shirtless-and-becoming-a-real

I lost it at "And lift more stuff while wearing a shirt, but honestly, the shirt is probably just getting in the way here, I don’t know what he was thinking." :lmao:

I wouldn't call myself a weight-lifter but i go to the gym pretty often to lift. I have to say i'm just a little surprised at cavill's legs looking a little twiggy there. Even despite the squats he seems to be doing?

One of my peeves is the guys at the gym who do nothing but upper body, upper body and end up with a super up-proportioned top heavy body.

Then again superman does fly to get around?...:o

Also yeah diet is huge when working out it's very hard to get all the calories.

Well I wouldn't call myself a "weightlifter" by any serious definition, but I only go to the gym to lift barbells, so that's what I call my activity. :oldrazz:

I guess not everyone is meant to be jacked everywhere. It's obvious that he's doing full-body workouts, and deadlifts and squats work your legs a ton. Actually, I pretty much only do deadlifts and squats (and struggle mightily with overhead press and barbell row) and my legs are looking a bit like Chun Li. :funny:

Yeah genetics plays a big factor often. Some people just have naturally more solid bases than others.

I only started squats a little while ago and they are a killer. The next day usually sucks.

Having protein immediately after, stretching, and foam roller massaging help A TON with me. I mean, using the foam roller hurts like a mofo in the moment, but it feels so good afterwards. :funny:

And there's always the ice cold bath, which Gym Jones does too. :funny: I'm not that much of a masochist.....

Then again I try not to push myself too hard. Last thing I need is to pull a muscle or a ligament on my tiny frame. :o
