One cool thing that Henry did was that he avoided past film and TV incarnations of Superman and went to the source material, which is 75 years worth of Superman comics to draw from. That was one of the reasons Superman: The Movie did well as it stayed true to the material at the time.

I'm glad Henry likes wearing the Superman suit unlike certain people who refuse to wear it.

He's also making history as the first Superman without red underwear and bearing a different S that resembles Earth-2 Superman's.

Cavil looked great during the interview portion of the trailer. Im sensing mucho charisma!

I fell sort of strange though, I love beautiful women, especially Amy Adams. Butt during that part of the trailer, oddly enough, Cavil was the one I found myself staring at the most. Literally couldnt take my eyes off him in that scene. The epitomy of charisma!

Most scenes before Clark has on his costume shw him sort of brooding, while scenes of Clark with the costume on show him smiling and confident. I like the parallel. Seems to me once he puts the suit on he "finds" himself so to speak. The smile he gave Lois during his questioning just OOZED charisma.

Thanks! I am glad to see Supes smile in the trailer. And to think, there were quite a few people who though he would brood through the entire movie. Not a chance!

He seemed like he was totally playing with Lois in the interrogation scene. Hopefully they have a good chemistry/ banter in the movie.

I've been saying this in the past, Cavill has plenty of natural on screen charisma and charm but it depends on the role and the director if it comes out. I was relieved to see this shot in the trailer and see that he brought it. As I've also said before, I needed just one short dialog exchange from him to know if he'll be weak or great. And that there is one great Superman. If the rest of the film matches this I'll easily crown him as by far the best Superman since Reeve.

Also love the change when they get cut off. Cavill immediately assumes a strong commanding expression and confidently but politely excuses himself. I have a feeling those cuffs will be coming of and we may get a scene similar to the one in Secret Origin with Supes not having any of the military capturing him nonsense.

The hair is fine and I like it. It's less pretentious and more rough and tumble. I'm not sure if cheesy is the right word, but as it is, it's less like that. He's adamant the 'S' shield isn't meant to evoke the Earth letter. It'd be a coincidence if a hair curl evoked an 'S' too, if you get my thinking.
