If i'm clark, i would grab bvs version in a second even knowing i would have died in the end. I would rather dying happy than living lonely.
Nope, you didn't read me correctly, at all.
I said that right now, with Cavill (whom i think is the perfect choice) plays Clark Kent, who becomes Superman to do good, but is unsure of himself.
With Reeve, we had Clark that wore a cape to do good and wore a persona in the office to protect that.
What i would like, is to see that element of Clark realizing that in the office, he has to be discrete, he has to be aware that Superman, he as Superman is bigger than the daily planet. He has to chose his battles and friends wisely.
Like in the comics. When he is Superman, he can be himself, to an extent, esp with Lois - she falls in love with Superman as that is who he is - office clark isn't really the real character. When he is with close friends, he can express himself more - when he hangs out with Jimmy, Smallville residents etc. But he has to give off the persona that Clark Kent that people know in the Office has nothing to do with Superman.
Once you delve into that, you have emotion, character development.
