Do you think that is his Superman hair? I hope they cut it a little shorter, especially in the back, but I hope they keep most of the curly/wavyness.

Hair length is not so much the issue as the styling of it imo. Shouldn't be a problem, although they probably had him grow it out so they could do more in terms of texturizing or whatever.

I see you agree with my idea he's around 200. Do you also agree the white dress shirt (a bit large on him anyways) also doesn't let you know the shape he is in? I'm glad he didn't do a trendy tight shirt like Routh or Welling to look bigger. Kind of cheesy.

182 might seem a rather conservative estimate but Christian Bale is the same height and he was 190 in Batman Begins, Cavill looks a bit smaller than him. 182- 187.

I think it could be his Superman hair, his natural hair works well for him. But he might have a different style for Smallville scenes to make him look a bit younger.

Bale in the pushups scene was probably down to 190 and Cavill looks comparable to that and he has 1-2 inches on Bale, but I think he was still heavier during the League training. I know they said he had to continue to trim down during the shoot since he overshot and gained too much.

No matter what anyone or any site says, Arnold is not now, or ever was 6'1", I met him many many years ago( at the opening of a Planet Hollywood, and none of us were shorter than six two, and he wasn't close to our height), maybe 20 years ago, or so, and he wasn't six even.

How about Steve Reeves? Not a bodybuilding expert, but I thought he had an ideal frame for Superman.

Yup, Steve is my favorite body builder ever and my perfect image of Superman. Other good candidates are Peter Lupus when he competed and Clancy Ross. If you are going for the big farm boy look then it's gotta be Clint Walker.

Can't really see Cavill being less than 200lbs. There are some jacked guys at my gym that are Cavill's height and not even as big as him and they weigh over 200lbs.

Dean Cain was great.
Compared to Cavill though, he was slightly shorter, appeared much more stocky, and his neck was quite thick whereas Cavill's isn't particularly thick so you'll probably be disappointed if you want a thicker looking Supes like Cain.
I think Henry looks great anyway, just gotta wait for the suit pic and hopefully the whole look will be great.

His American accent has gotten better since that film. I don't think he sounds like Routh that much. They both have deep voices but Routh seems to speak from his throat or something.
