As I'm older, I don't really care as much on the point. But when I was younger, I really did care about such things. Continuity of actors helps to create a more cohesive universe. This is what should be aimed for as it's the kiddies that bring in the $$$

I just think if they do a JL use the Actor you have.

indeed, as you say, if you've got someone, then use them... but the older I get, the less I care. But I remember as a kid constantly asking myself when this issue came up 'why does the guy look different?' etc. They should lock actors in for the long haul via contract.

but as I've said, as an older viewer, I don't care as much now, just as long as the product is first class.

I loved the plane sequence, best part of the film for me, after that the action story simply died.

Agreed 100%

To me the plane sequence is the best scene in any Superman movie and I do think its the one scene that will be very hard to top.

the worst part about that fact, it was part of the screenplay before singer was attached. so im not sure i can even give him credit

Regardless he directed and shot it so he deserves some credit

That plane sequence is overrated. It's made up of a bunch of simple shots. It also needed stuff happening in the background. A first year film student could of done a better job imo.

Are you kidding? I could ***** all day about Returns' flaws, but that scene kept me on the edge of my seat from start till finish.

I hope more adrenaline pumping scenes like that are in MOS.

How is it overrated? There's like a handful of people that have praised it.

 I have several friends who complain that Superman Returns is boring, dull, no action etc but they all think that place scene is unbelievable

The guy forgot to say in his opinion ;)

That scene was brilliant.

It was fast paced, exhilarating. Until Superman actually caught and safely 'landed' the plane, it made me think "****, he's not going to make it" That was an awesome feeling :)

Definitely

Also when the Superman theme kicks in I get goosebumps

Me too :)

First seeing him flying like a bullet, the music, the tension...:p

But it was such a unique scene, that even though its Superman and he will end up saving everyone, it was played in such a cool way that you thought he wouldn't. It wasn't a simple "oh look a planes falling" gig, where Supes flys up and catches it without a sweat...it was played with Superman pushing himself to the limit, and everything was still going wrong until he got to the ground...that was epic, and kudos to Singer for that.

Yeah shame the only other time I think he captured the Superman essence superbly was the elevator change.

Does anyone know why henry-cavill.org has uploaded this as the new Man of Steel teaser poster? I mean, i'm sure it's not... it just seems random.

If anyone is worried. It's fake, the \S/ is from the Anthology, and the red city is defferent to the one that appeared in the two promotional images. They're probably using it as a placeholder.

Speaking of... I'm suprised that there haven't been more fan posters.

Its fan made. The logo is awful

My bad dude. I just registered the name when looking for superman news and couldn't find much. A "slow time" as in news going on at the moment.

That would be good if that is the case, and if so, welcome aboard. :cwink:

If not and you're a returning banned user, when we ban you again, you could comeback as FilmTurdJamie or C. Pee. Just a couple suggestions.
