This too small arguement is so silly and the ones who complain almost always look foolish after the film comes out.

There were huge complaints about how small Chris Evans was and that was proven to be a foolish complaint.

It does look darker in that recent image, which could mean that the production team involved with Man of Steel had Cavill dye his hair already. I think it's just the lighting though.

That's probably because he was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt and not a fairly airy shirt.

I mean, just try and imagine him wearing something tight to his chest...

It really is. I'd say he looks bigger than he is in Immortals already. At his height anything over 210 lbs is going to make him appear stocky IMHO. He looks great right now and has a decent build.

As for using Taylor Lautner as a comparison as to how "small" Cavill is? Please...Lautner packed on some muscle sure but also has a small frame. He's maybe 180 lbs if that.

Cavill is well into his workout program I'd assume and seems to have filled out very well. It's easy to say someone's small when you're sitting in front of a computer.

I personally don't think "size matters" in this case. I've had many reservations about Cavill in the past, but he's Superman right there to me. He looks the part. I hope they keep his hair with some wave in it.

His size is perfectly fine.

We won't have one then seeing as Cavill was more physically FAR more imposing size/shape in Immortals.

Taylor Lautner is only 5'10 & weighs about 160lbs - 170lbs MAX in this picture..

If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say Cavill in Immortals was 6'1 & around 185lbs - 195lbs at 6% body fat. I'd imagine he'd put on maybe 15lbs - 25lbs for Superman, although I'd say not all of that would be muscle. He'll probably have let his body fat rise slightly to around 10%, he'll still be ripped, just probably not as ripped as in Immortals.

Based on the Comic Con pictures, Cavill's arms/shoulders look noticably bigger, as do his traps/neck. It's hard to really tell how his back/chest really looks but I'd imagine it has gained size as well. I'd be happy if he was at a similar size to Chris Evans in Captain America.. which I think would be a similarish size to Reeve in his first Superman outing.

Agreed. I know it doesn't always look like it but Reeve was actually quite large in Superman. Granted his weight fluctuated throughout the scenes but during the earthquake scenes he was at about 230 lbs. On a 6'4 frame thats pretty big unless you're a professional athlete. I don't think Cavill is that large but with the height difference I'd say it's similar. Considering what GYMJones does in terms of training, I'd say Cavill is going to be very solid and have not just a "movie" physique but practical muscle built too. It's not the typical do 4 sets of this or that workout routine. It was originally developed for building a well rounded body that you can actually use in an athletic lifestyle.

Yep. And a lot of people may also not realize that Cavill filmed another film subsequent to doing Immortals. It's called Cold Light of Day. If you do an image search for that film, you'll see that he is, in fact, somewhat heavier than he was in Immortals.
