In a video documentary for the first Superman movie, Reeve actually that said his hair was dyed black.

Clark Kent hair should be slicked back, but as Superman since he flies it should be dryer and wavy. Lois and Clark tv show had that in reverse bah.

Cavill doesn't quite meet the jewfro criteria for a couple of reasons: he's not Jewish, and his hair actually grows downward (as opposed to up and outward). lol

Reeve suffered from alopecia since he was about 16 years old. Fortunately, he still maintained a thick head of hair throughout his life, opting to comb over any areas where he experienced hair loss. Although the problem went into remission, it came back and grew progressively worse in his late forties. He subsequently had his head shaved.
