Rourke is only good at playing street wise blue collar characters. I don't really understand why he was cast in Immortals or Iron Man 2 for that matter.

I think there was a good performace somewhere hidden in Iron Man 2. That movie is unfortunately a product of what happens when you focus on every other franchise besides iron man.

I don't know, Mickey Rourke as a physicist in Iron Man 2 was kinda hilarious and I don't mean it in a good way. As far as Immortals goes he felt so out of place to me.

What's the thing about Rourke and the Smashing Pumpkins?

The story goes that Rourke got romantically involved with Darcy and got her hooked on plastic surgery (and possibly cocaine, though she might have started that habit before she met him) and convinced her to quit the band to to pursue an acting career. Supposedly, she was going to star in a movie with him. The movie never materialized though and she pretty much disappeared completely, though she resurfaces from time to time to call into a radio station or get arrested for something. But anyway, pre-Rourke, she looked like this:

And post-Rourke, she looked like this:

Now to be fair, it's unclear what all happened there but she clearly had some bad plastic surgery done and given that she was linked to Rourke and her looks took a turn for the bizarre at about that time, it would appear that he had something to do with it.

Huh?? Makes no sense... With two trailers out already and movie looking like it's done. Or do they think they can wait for the MOS teaser to come out and cash in a bit more on Cavill's name? I don't think that's gonna work out in their favor, if that's the case. Maybe a mistake on boxofficemojo's part? Not that I care much, would only see this because of Cavill, movie looks like a 3rd rate action flick we've seen a hundred times already anyway.
