I'm talking about how Wolverine's cellular regeneration works. It obviously can't be connected to whichever part of his body's got his brain, or whichever part of his body has more mass, since he can regrow his entire body from a single cell. It makes sense to me that every chunk of him that's separated would try to regrow whatever is necessary to make a complete body.
roach said:did I say he didnt have the skills of a samurai. He is a failed samurai because he cant control himself. I know the character because I have been reading X-men since 1982.
screech_turbo said:how about dropping him in a vat of acid? if that doesn't work, give him the cure and then drop him in.
roach said:if he could survive a nuclear explosion that left him just bones...what is acid gonna do
screech_turbo said:you could use the cure first. so he won't be able to heal. then drop him in.

What the heck is wrong with you people?! It's bad storytelling!! Wolverine should not be able to survive nukes. He should not be able to survive being reduced to a skeleton. He should not survive having his heart explode.

But noooooooooooo. In the eyes of fanboys, the more powerful Wolverine is the better. You have this idiotic "my character can beat your character LOL!" attitude.
It's. Bad. Storytelling.
Wolverine being able to come back from being nothing more than a skeleton is the equivalent of Wolverine suddenly being able to fire optic blasts without explanation.
Niether of them makes sense. Niether of them are possible.
Who wants to read about a ****ing invincible Wolverine?
It's this wolverine hate tha has taken over a small portion of fans. Hulk gets upgraded to beyond stupid levels (punching a whole in the fabric of reality) and people love it. ditto deadpool and many others. But god forbid it happens to wolverine
KAD said:Fire and Ice one shot states that W healing ability and full potential as a mutant was stunted by the bonding of adamantium to his bones.
When Magneto removed the adamantium his powers began to naturally evolve.
Technically it is plausible for him to regenerate from a single cell.
I cant believe all the hypocrisy. Spiderman gets an upgrade with the Queen bee story line and then gets another immediate upgrade in the Other storyline and nobody cries foul.

When Spidey starts bench pressing the titanic, I'll start complaining.
I'd say Spidey lifting the titanic is the equivalent of Wolverine healing from being nothing more than skeleton in two minutes.
roach said:1) So wouldnt it be logical that his Healing Factor got returned to regular levels the moment the Adamantium was replaced????
2) Go to the Spider-man forums to see how people "didnt cry foul" over Spider-man's new abilities.

KAD said:1) No it seems logical they stopped advancing again. They wouldn't regress.
2) Some do most don't
I don't support the Uber unkillable W idea but I think a reasonable upgrade is perfectly fine.
In addition in Blood and Ice W mutation is described as being much more than just a healing factor. W is told that if not for the adamantium he would be intune with the earths biosphere and have abilities far beyond where he is even today.
KAD said:I'd say Spidey beating Firelord is the equivilant of him lifting a titanic in each hand![]()
roach said:which has been argued to ad nauseum
KAD said:That doesn't make it irrelevant.
In addition there is also the initial power drop W suffered after first joining the x-men
roach said:I seem to remember that the reason Wolverine's healing abilities are tuned down because his body is coping with the Adamantium. Take out the metal and his body's healing ability shoots to Hulk like proportions. Put the metal back in and it dulls his healing back to regular levels due to his body coping with the metal.
roach said:which power drop was that???
