With most other actors I'd be concerned with ageing but not Craig.....guy's made of stone lol I think he'll look just as fierce in five years time.

Yeah, but if he's in more than 2 more, we're talking about in 10 years, not just 5.

Speaking of "skyfall". I'm still a little confused about the whole word association game played by the doctor when assessing whether bond was fit for duty.

How/why did the Dr. bring up "skyfall" as one of the words needed to be associated? Skyfall was [BLACKOUT]bond's childhood home[/BLACKOUT] but what relevance did that have to the test? and also what was up with bond's response "done", what was done?

As others have said, childhood issues play a big part of mental health.

One thing I would like to think is that the random mention of Skyfall is what inspired Bond [BLACKOUT]to go back to his old stomping grounds in the end of the movie.[/BLACKOUT]

He already looks much older in Skyfall than the other two (though I will admit the hair and what the movie is about might a factor in that more than I think). I think that him bowing out after 5 is a better idea.

Craig may be cut, but his face could age worse.

That's my thinking too. I don't think Craig is going to do more than 2 more.

I think that they intentionally made Craig look older/more of his age to accentuate the fact that being a double-O comes with a lot of wear and tear. I'm sure that if Craig continues the Bond saga, there are plenty of ways to make him look youthful, anything is possible these days when all the elements of make-up, cinematography and digital editing come into play.

Well, at the same time can't just assume that it'll be a Roger Moore situation, Sir Rog was clsoer to 60 than 50. I think a 52 year old Craig in his final film would look tough.

I just posted this on the Batman forums because of people continously making links between Skyfall and The Dark Knight. My intent is not to criticize but just to point out that Movie series like Batman and Bond can make references to each other from time to time, take this example. It seems that an integral part of The Dark Knight Rises plot is lifted from The World Is Not Enough, only with three times the characters, three times the stuff going, etc.

SPOILERS FOR BOTH MOVIES

In both movies we have this villian, a bald guy, with a pain related injury (Bane in constant pain keep at bay with his mask and Renard with a bullet in his head that prevents him from feeling a thing) who seems ruthless and unstoppable. Only to find out later on that said baddie is doing everything for a female that is the actual mastermind behind the curtains (Talia in TDKR and Elektra in TWINE). Said female serves as a love interest for the hero and takes advantage of the trust and affair with the hero only to betray him later on and expose her plan to him.

Both movies involve the detonation of a nuclear device that would destroy a City (Gotham and Istanbul). And finally, this is probably pushing it but in both movies the hero sustains injuries from the beginig through out the end of the films (Batman and his crippled leg, Bond and his injured shoulder).

So someone explain something to me

Q and Tanner decided to make a fake bread crumb trail for Silva to follow.

15 minutes later....

Silva and his men are walking up to "Skyfall"

How?

Were we to assume Silva was so smart he'd figure out the trick and went directly to "Skyfall" without any further scene/explanation?

1. It wasn't 15 minutes later in film time.

2. He followed the breadcrumbs.

Yes.

Agreed. If they have their ducks in a row they could get two movies out in 6 years pretty easily. Look at at Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. There was only a two year gap between those films.

I figured that. I don't know, I going to have to see what he looks like in the me t Bond movie.

The way I see it, after the next 2 movies (which would be 2014 and 2016) seems like not two far away but with that 2nd movie, it will be ten years since Casino Royale. It may seem like only 4 years from now, but we've seen how fast Bond actors age, like previous examples mentioned and also it was only 4 years between You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever for Sean Connery. It only gets harder to stay in tip top shape as they age.

I'm not saying it will be a problem, but it's possible.

I don't have time to do it, but what would help is if someone got a good face picture of Craig from Casino Royale, QoS, and Skyfall.

It's all about the hair masking how old he is

I was watching the movie and the only reason I'm think Criag is older Looks wise) is because I'm being 'told' he is older. He looked roughly the same as he did in CR as he does in Skyfall even though one movie is at the start of Bond's career as the other is played as the end of Bond's career. I wish I look as ripped as Craig at the age of 44.

Craig definitely looked older in skyfall and not just because we are beong told Bond is older. The makeup and hair techs aged him plus craig is four years older. After watching skyfall i was watching QOS on tv and I couldnt get over how much younger he looked in that movie. Especially at Green's party.

Oh and on another note imo the suits and outfits looked much better in QOS. I didnt hate the suits in Skyfall but i didnt really care for the fit.

The wind blowing in his face while on top of the roofs chasing Patrice made Craig look old and weird looking.

There was also the part when he's dodging Patrice's gunfire behind the crane.

His blonde eyebrows looked even blonder in Skyfall

That's a lot of detail I just didn't really pay attention to... nor will I ever.

He looks more weathered in Skyfall but he doesn't look 'old-old' like Roger Moore in his later films. He still looks like he's in his 40's.

Keep in mind that half of the time, he was suppose to look worn out Espcially with the beard. His eyes were red and sunken in for the first half but his eye bags were gone by the second half.

Thats because of the dodgy cgi. The parts when the camera was facing craig up close were greenscreen with a cgi background. Something about the way they composited craig into the environment did funny things.

Agreed. Weathered and worn out is a better word for it. When he shows up at the casino in Macau he looks better.

Have they released a date for when they're coming out with the next film?

Ah so I was right in my assumptions that some CGI was used.

Craig and CGI don't mix very well like in "QOS" when he was free falling.

Why does everyone keep saying that Skyfall takes place at the end of Bond's career?

Why does everyone keep saying that Skyfall takes place at the end of Bond's career?

Who's been saying that?

It's obvious though that bond is already at the veteran stage of his career. His been there done that. Either way i sort of like the way they are playing the progression of a 00's career.

As for age craig has mentioned many times he wants to get out before he overstays his welcome. He also mentioned how the stunts were taking more of their toll on his. I think 5 films and him bowing out before 50 sounds perfect.

I hope Craig can do at least two more films. That would put him ahead of Brosnan and second only to Connery and Moore. I doubt any Bond actor will have as many films as those two did. First off, Connery was making one film per year for the first 5, and Moore played Bond way past the age of believablility. Moore is actually 3 years older than Connery, so anyone who thinks Moore replaced Connery because he was younger, is wrong.

Lazenby was the youngest Bond, at 30, and Connery was 32 at the time of Dr. No, so Daniel Craig at 38 was only the 3rd youngest Bond.

So if you think about it Craig is prety much the age now that Moore, Dalton and Brosnan were when they started. So that's good for Craig doing another few stints at this thing.
