James Bond In Skyfall - - - Part 12

You know aside from QOS not being very good, Craig's three Bond films serve as a nice trilogy for him and M. Considering in the first he's a young man and first starting out and he's butting heads with M and her authority and even the second one. Skyfall is the last film where Bond is now an older man and their relationship is put to the test where it comes full circle of how she ultimately views Bond. It works really well in that aspect.

Which is why I hope we get another thematic trilogy with DC.

Except I think we're only going to get 2 more Bond movies tops from Craig.

Maybe it could gross

Definitely 2 and both sides are open to more.

I'm not sure if that's good for either side, though. We've seen what happened to actors who play Bond into their 50s and the effect on the movies....

Two for certain. After that, I'm sure they'll splash the cash around even more, which could lure him out for one more after that.

That's not a rule. Moore did FYEO when he was 53 and it was arguably his 2nd best. Connery, Laz and Dalton didn't even turn 50 while in the role. And Brosnan was always unconvincing in every post-GE fight, so it's not his age that ruined DAD (he looked just fine in it, imo).

If EON does a Bond film every 3 years, Craig can end at 52 and gracefullyl with 6 movies under his belt. He'll be even younger if they go for shorter periods between movies.

I was only saying it because you said "We've seen what happened to actors...", as if it's something common in this franchise. If I misunderstood, I apologise.

No, you understood right, I just didn't want to come off as absolute. Also, I was thinking Connery in NSNA even though it's not cannon.

Actually, I thought Sean in NSNA looked like a beast, in far better shape than in YOLT or DAF.

That is true though. I guess seeing how since Bonds with multiple movies haven't ended well, I'm a bit superstitious of it.

I think, with 24 & 25 being somehow connected, it will be different this. To be honest, if they don't do a Blofeld/Tracy/redemption trilogy, I wouldn't mind DC bowing out after 25.

Every actor has their price so if EON wanted craig for more than two more movies I'm sure they could get him but I think 5 movies for any one actor playing Bond is enough.

My only concern with Craig being in more than 2 is that he'll probably start looking way old by then.

Think of how Roger Moore looked in A View to a Kill.

Plus he does a lot more of his stunts than any other Bond and its taking their tolls on his body. He'll do the 2 than he's done, guaranteed

Yeah but Craig would f you up. Roger Moore was just a dude. Daniel Craig is cut, guys into their 50s can still kick ass if that's what they do for a living.

5's a pretty respectable number to do too.

Really? Then why are all athletes retired by the time they're 45?

saw skyfall the other day and wow. I think it was one of my favorite Bond movies by far. I think that Javier did a GREAT job as the villian. It had a Joker/Batman feel to it from TDK. I like how he planned on getting caught and it was "all part of the plan"
everything kind of went full circle with this film and I really hope to see DC in another Bond flick

He already looks much older in Skyfall than the other two (though I will admit the hair and what the movie is about might a factor in that more than I think). I think that him bowing out after 5 is a better idea.

Craig may be cut, but his face could age worse.

That's my thinking too. I don't think Craig is going to do more than 2 more.
