I dont know what it is about Leto, but for some reason just looking at him I "see" the Joker from the comics. Hopefully, they will stick to a more comic-inspired take on the character. I think he will do a great job.

Some of the lyrics to his songs seems like they were written by Mr.J too IMO.

Absolutley, His whole face structure just screams Joker. From his chin/jawline to his wide eyes.

Voilà!

"Majestic" brings Elfman's Waltz to the Death cue to mind. Grand and theatrical.

I'd like to see clown themed gadgets this time if possible, too.

Nicholson had a few weird gadgets. An arrow/throwing pen, a boxing glove that could smash through a tv, gun with a two foot barrel and a pistol with a "bang" flag. O and he had his acid flower. What more could you want.

He also had the hand buzzer that will fry you.

And I hope they go back to the gadgets. I prefer them to just knives and a gun.

We need the Joker venom back again. It must be in full force. I like the way Dini writes it, where it's like put on random objects like dollar bills or what not and the person doesn't even know they're affected until they start the uncontrollable laughter.

The less he is like Nicholson's Joker the better. Apart from some of the gadgets.

The less he's like Heath Ledger the better as well. While Ledger's Joker worked within the Nolan-verse, he is definitely not the definitive Joker. Even the actor that played Jerome on the last ep of GOTHAM, seemed to be just doing an impression of Ledger's Joker. It's time we got a slightly different interpretation of the character.

I don't get the love affair I've seen for Jerome, to be completely frank. Even by Joker standards, that was some of the most forced, hamfisted acting I've ever seen. Literally eye-roll inducing.

Just give us something fresh and unique. I'll happily take some deviations from the source material if it results in an original take.

Forced, hamfisted and eye rolling acting on Gotham? No, I never would have suspected!

I gave up watching Gotham several episodes ago. It just lost it's appeal for me. The Penguin was the only part of it I was really enjoying, but he wasn't enough to keep me watching the show.

I watched clips of that would be Joker Jermone kid that everyone was talking about, and I saw what Boom/Golgo saw. A poor man's attempt to emulate Heath's awesome Joker. His laugh was the only thing I thought was good.

And you being you, you would know. :o

Yeah, I did get the feeling that he was doing a Ledger impression with how he changed his voice a little when started going crazy.

I just watched a clip of Jerome and that... was... cringe-worthy. Gotham is such a piece of crap.

Did we really need young Joker anyway? Whatever that's Gotham for ya.

Yes, we need young EVERYONE! But yeah I clocked out after 3 episodes.

I enjoy Gotham.
It's nothing amazing but it's a pretty fun show.

Does he talk about how he likes to joke around and something with a circus?

I need to watch some clips of their take on The Joker.

He killed his mom and Hector Salamanca is there.
