Well maybe my guess at a Harvey Bullock like character came close. LOL Well I'm actually glad to hear that his talents are being put into a new character; it'll be a good role, but at the same time it won't take away from Hardy and Hathaway screen time.

If they would have announced that JGL and Cotillard were cast as Alberto and Talia, some of these fanboys would have complained and whined.

Now that the characters they will be playing have been announced, fanboys still complain and whine?

I think Levitt will be a great supporting character to Oldman, but I am still hoping for either the return of corrupt Ramirez or the introduction of the awesome Renee Montoya.

Seriously, Montoya could be one of the strong, moral characters on the police force outside Gordon. Plus, it'd just be nice to see more women with active roles.

Wasn't Flass basically a version of Bullock? And how do you know Levitt's role won't be juicy?

I always laughed at what they did with Flass, in Year One Flass is like a 6 and a half foot tall ex-special ops Arian.

Maybe Gordon created that "special duty" role for Blake as a way to help Batman. In TDK it seems like Batman is familiar with a lot of the policemen in GPD.

I loved that about TDK. He knew the names of almost every member of the GPD.

I completely agree. Not to mention that one of the easiest ways to crash the story is to have dozens of characters, all of them undeveloped due to a lack of screen time.

Bruce Wayne/Batman should be the main role. All the rest are, and should be supporting.

You know why I love this? Because these characters aren't tied down by the comics, which means we don't know what to expect. They're not main villains anyway, so it doesn't matter they're made for the movie.

Please no...Along those lines, Im realizing that whatever we think is going to happen is probably so far off the mark its ridiculous. Thats what Ive learned so far as the news for this movie comes out. it seems so obvious to all of us that "Talia will be in because theres a Ra's flashback and LOS will be in, etc etc" when more than likely its not really anything close to that. But thats the fun and frustration of it all I suppose.

Perhaps, as a 'special duty' officer to Gordon, he ISN'T a part of the main task force, and instead acts as more of an ally to Batman?

I'd say either that or the main detective in charge of it.
