Wasn't he wearing jeans in his daytime motorcycle ride during Loeb's funeral?

I think Paste's joke/sarcasm went over your heads guys.

lol cosume, is not just a fanboy thing in this case. Joe looks similar in many movies, this one need to be different. Even if the guy can act, make up/mask would make him more amazing. e.g. Heath

but let me point it out up front: I love to see his face in the movie

Yep, sounds to me like Team Nolan/WB's sniffing out a leak. I just can't imagine either EW or Variety getting something like this flat-out wrong in any other scenario. There's gotta be some misinformation being put out there.

:ninja::hehe:

I hope its Black Mask. Especially if that means he gets to play a little crazy and over the top. He was crazy in Killshot and Id love to see him play someone with a short fuse,

Lord almighty I can only hope he is the Black Mask! Hush would be equally as great....highly unlikely and wouldn't make much sense....but PLEASE BE BLACK MASK!

Here are my two cents, if they add anything to the speculation/discussion.

JGL, albeit a completely different type of actor, has an uncanny resemblance to Heath Ledger. JGL is going to be in the film; most likely as a villain. I'm sure Nolan and WB's afraid of Joker comparison's.

That's why, in my opinion, JGL will play a character similar to his portrayal of the Cobra Commander, unrecognizable in costume. I think Nolan is going to throw us a fast ball and have him as Hugo Strange.

Hear me out. Shave his head, add glasses and a beard and you have JGL doing what he does best, disappearing into a character. Black Mask, while a good guess, would warrant comparisons to the Joker and the Red Skull.

Strange is a perfect counterpart to Bane's brute strength as a villain. They could use JGL's age to explain Strange's cockiness and overconfidence. Sure it's a minor tweak to the character, but so was having the Joker disfigure Harvey Dent and non-permawhite Heath Ledger.

Watch the movie Mysterious Skin, JGL is an excellent actor, years beyond his actual age. He could pull off Strange magnificently. I also take what Gary Oldman said in his latest interview to be true, the other villain is from the "old, old, from way back old comics."

:awesome:

Black Mask makes sense with Catwoman in the picture and he doesn't have to have a huge, huge role. His presence would indicate that the "freaks" have taken over the underworld and the Joker's declaration that the entire city is going "mad" would prove to be prophetic.

Yeah I really think there could be a good story between Catwoman and Black Mask. Good rivalry there, hope they go that route.

So everyone's just jumped immediately on the Black Mask bandwagon?

Ive wanted Catwoman and Black Mask since I found out Dent and Joker werent returning.

But I think everyones running out of villains to discuss. Almost every plausible villain has been rumored at this point. There will be a mob figure for sure so my guess is hes either Black Mask or someone on Gordons squad maybe a smaller character from the comics.

Nope not me.

I'm still sticking to my outlandish hope its some sort of incarnation of Robin. Even if its just some sort of amalgamation of Grayson/Drake taking the mantle of Batman for an undisclosed period of time.

I still think what Wayne says in Begin on that plane ride back to Gotham is crucial.

"As a man, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol, I can be something... terrifying"

His little conversation with Ra's as well:

Bruce Wayne: You're vigilantes.
Henri Ducard: No, no, no. A vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely.
Bruce Wayne: Which is?
Henri Ducard: A legend, Mr. Wayne.

His major mistake in this series has been that he thinks he can do this all by himself and that he personally has no limits. Thats a partial truth because Batman truly has no limits but the same doesn't go for Wayne.

The only way he can make this work is by having someone who shares his pain don the mask & cape.

But why have Catwoman and Robin? Thats alot of help for Bats. Hes gonna need some more villains.

Robin is not appearing. Bet your house on it.

Oh I'm sure he isn't. Its a completely baseless desire. A pipe dream if you will.

I'm wholly aware.

Doesn't mean I can't really, really hope thats the case.
