The new leader of the League of Shadows. He Has been resurrected

did the age of Robin just drop off the face of the earth?
yes i know,JGL is thirty. All i'm saying that this is not Robin the boy wonder, this is dick grayson the character all grown up or Jason Todd or Tim Drake, not a sidekick. They could skipped the robin phase, and just make him evolved into something different. In the comics Dick became Batman, Jason Todd became the Red hood, Tim was the host of the Joker's identity in the Batman Beyond animated movie.

Nightwing, is what you're getting at. Thats different

He could play a good Alberto Falcone or Edward Nigma but other than that I cant see who he can play.

Riddler is gone and theres a nice little article Demons Head posted that convinced me that hes playing Alberto

Why do people on here keep saying his age, his age, haha you guys realize that Christian Bale was 30 when he filmed Batman Begins, the same age Joseph Gordan Levitt is now!! He could play a D.A., Black Mask, a cop, whoever he wanted. Heath Ledger just turned 28 when he played the Joker. I could see him in any role honestly!
Since you've enlightened us that age ain't nothin' but a number, I think they should fire Michael Caine and replace him with JGL as Alfred.

yes probably nightwing, and ended up becoming the next Batman. I think it's the next logical approach to the story. Maybe just a teaser at the end

there cant be a Nightwing unless if theres a Robin, because you know... thats the whole point of Nightwing.

Robin spin-off, as terrible as it sounds. But yeah, Nightwing was solely meant to break out of Batmans shadow and become a hero on his own. He was tired of being a side-kick

lol no.

yeah if anything Nightwing should be a tv show with a new continuity (<-- Thats the keyword) that follows him fighting crime in Gotham by himself.

bruce is probably heavily injured or disappeared or in the circumstance of not being able to continue his Batman duty at the end or in the 2nd act of the movie . Nolan acknowledge JGL is up to a physical demanding role. Jean Paul Valley?

you can pretty much leave JGL being Robin (or Nightwing) in a hint or ending in this series: i just dont see it happening. but you believe what you believe or want. im stickin with JGL being Alberto Falcone

and Azrael....meh, maybe

ahhhhh you beat me to it :woot:

:awesome: did you catch it? It's subtle... right around above Batman's head, in the background... y'know what's there? FLAMESSSS.

What's great about all this is that, Levitt's proven to be the kind of casting choice worthy of an actor - we can't nail who he's going to be used for! He can be anyone (or as it's been suggested before, EVERYONE). Even the goddamned HEATH LEDGER'S JOKER. Levitt ought to be proud. When Hardy was announced the choices ranged from Strange and Bullock to Hush and Bane, but never beyond that. With the two actresses it was very limited to Selina, Talia, random girlfriend # 3, or Sarah Essen. Not like Levitt though, who's been everyone from ROBIN THE BOY WONDER to BATMAN HIMSELF (Batman 2, but still).

Oh and speaking of Robin... if memory serves well, then I recall once durign BB Nolan was asked who he would've picked for Robin if he absolutely had to. His answer? Frankie friggin Munieze. Y'know, MALCOLM in the middle? Agent Cody Banks? Hilary Duff's... alright you're not reading anymore.

Lol, that's pretty funny. My mother was a huge fan of 3rd Rock from the Sun, and I told her that, "The kid who played Tommy is like thirty now, and he's gonna be in Inception."

She goes, "The little Asian boy?"

:hehe:

Damn. I totally buy that. Very nicely done. You could have even mentioned for the Riddler part that Nolan flat out said no Riddler for this film, so that would boost your argument further against that character. Although part of me thinks maybe we could end up with just an Edward Nygma/Nashton.

But your scenario is definitely the most plausible and makes perfect sense. To date, each Nolan Batman film has had 2 heavyweight villains and a supporting mid-tier villain. Hard to imagine we would be getting a third heavyweight villain. JGL as Alberto makes perfect sense. I'm officially on board with that belief.
