Here's the deal, audiences aren't ****ing stupid. Suspension of disbelief is a part of movies, Bale can play Batman in Justice League and Nolan's Batman if he wants to. Or someone else can play Batman in Justice League and another guy can play Batman in the reboot. People will figure it out.

the justice league are beloved by sociaty so the dynamic of the x-men doesn't fit the justice league at all.

Im not talking about plot points....I mean tone in terms of how the fillm is presented. Humor, mood, etc.

But Rockstar said "mess" 89 times!

I think that WB wanted to start a unified DC Universe with GL, if that movie had been successful, we would have seen more solo movies getting a green light.

Now, after mega success of Avengers, many execs at WB will want to revive the JL movie (in a separate continuity), if there is no news about them reconsidering it by this year end, I will be surprised.

^^^I agree

BUt i have a feeling, we're just gonna get the same spiel we've always gotten when it comes to most DC adaptions "We are actively working on bringing __________ to the screen"

i think if that were true we would have gotten a reference to bats or MOS in gl. unless i missed that.

"Solo Movies..." ; "No, Justice League"

WB missed the boat with their politicking. Marvel (plus Disney) owns their ass.

JL may be a real longshot now more than ever, i'm more optimistic (although not by a whole lot) with a Batman-Superman movie, and only because Nolan is pulling the strings on both those franchises. and thats IF he wants to put those guys together in one movie.

and he doesn't so it's not bloody likely. if they're concerned with a cluster ****, the best way to do it would be a bats/supes film first, then a trinity film, then a Jl film.

Yep. But I think the next go for GL has to work. You can't continually reboot a character that is not well known to the GA without succeeding at least once. Even someone as well know as Hulk finds it difficult. It's a real shame as right now Superman and Batman could be in really good hands. GL is the link to getting the rest of the universe kickstarted.

TA is getting incredible reviews and is turning into a monster overseas. This weekends numbers were just revised up to 181 million. BOM is saying now TA will do 600 million or more internationally. Given 350 - 400 domestic TA is on it's way to the billion dollar makr. It's increasingly likely it will outperform TDKR.

In that scenario I think WB will be scared off from doing JL. For fear of significantly underperforming TA and given WB's less than stellar record with superhero films.

TA has so much going for it that JL won't have.

I tyhink a billion dollar TA hurts chances of JL taking off.

The sequel to Avengers will make even more money, especially if they include Thanos as villain.

Yup.

TA is looking to become the all-time definitive superhero film.

BTW, TA2 is likely going to be 2015. So you can scrub WB trying a JL in that year. Or the next if indeed it becomes apparent that TA2 is going to get the highest BO ever.

I think TA's uber, uber success is going to cause WB to delay doing JL for a long time.

I respect Nolan and his whole 'no shared universe' ideal and all...but...trust and believe...when Nolan is through...WB/DC will be working on getting Bats and Supes on screen together. Those two in a movie together is a milestone that has to happen...it's destiny...it's fate...and if they do it right...it's BANK for WB/DC!

I'm certain that right now...TPTB over at WB/DC are brainstorming on getting a league movie out and how their going to initiate getting other leaguers on the screen....either by solo movies first or just introducing them in the league movie...their scramblin' right about now IMO but in my ideal scenario, the WB/DC is chill and focusing on what their going to do.

Why especially if they include Thanos? Not many people (enough to make a dent anyway) are clamoring for (or are aware of) Thanos.

I agree with this formula. Yes...

First, Bat/Supes teamup...follow with a sequel of sorts with a World's Finest with Bats, Supes and Wondy...then, close out the trilogy with an unofficial forming of a group that will become the Justice League...

Then..you launch the official Justice League movie.

That will ensure even bigger scale and it will be more epic which would generate buzz plus GA are already anticipating the sequel to Avengers, and it is well known that the second movie does better than the first if the first movie is successful.

But Rockstar said it cannot be done.

He also said the word "mess".

TA is going to be massive - maybe the biggest film this year. TA2 will be bigger.

WB is not going to be able to compete at that level.

I'd guess they will abandon JL now and re-focus on solo films.

Nolan and Snyder won't do a WF. That said, WB if it ever does a team film may feel more comfortable with WF. It wouldn't bring up the obvious comparisons JL would.

Really, WB needs some succes with a solo besides Batman beffore they should even try a team film.

I'm not denying it will make more. It will be very successful and the scale will be boosted regardless. I'm just saying, the fact Thanos is in it won't magically boost it, the people who know who Thanos is and are excited by him are already forking over their money anyway.

Oh I completely agree....and they need one as of yesterday!

i think it will. because the buzz will be, the avengers take on the baddest muthufuka in the marvel universe. i wouldn't say that it'd be sorta like bats and the joker in tdk, cause the mystique of heath's performance and his death gave it alot of buzz, but it will be a highly anticipated showdown.

WB/DC needs to get their house in order and get serious.

It's time to start thinking outside the box and that doesn't mean copy Marvel.

The DC Universe is rich with history, characters and stories...they need to get directors, writers and staff that will take the material to heart and create a vision that will bring DC to life.

Basically...it's now or never for DC/WB. Let's hope their willing to compete in the movie market...because I whole-heartedly believe they are worthy contenders...

plus I want my DC vs. Marvel movie....ya'll know that has to happen somewhere down the line....

yeah I agree that DC needs to worry about solo films before working on a team film.
