Common's not a bad actor, and let's not act like John Stewart GL is an oscar role.

I cant comment on his acting. I didnt like him in TS. IN Wanted he was ok, in Smoking Aces he was meh. I did like him in the first episode of Hell on Wheels

That being said "let's not act like John Stewart is an oscar role" is a bad mentality to have.

I wouldn't mind a movie inspired by the Hyperclan story.
Hyperclan sounds interesting, but after The Avengers I dont really wanna see the league take on an alien threat right away. I wouldnt mind if they dont do it at all

I really like a modified version of the OMACs for the first movie. Have the OMACs be a product of Waller/Lord not trusting the heroes or something. Have them be full robots, save for OMAC prime.

But thats just my idea

I wouldn't mind them taking out the White Martian bit. But the group of other "heroes" showing them up, using lethal force and having different motives sounds cool. More for a sequel though.

the white martians would be a way to introduce MM

Yeah for a sequel I think the Justice League should fight another team of heroes, but I think that should be the Crime Syndicate/Justice Lords

I was thinking that the OMAC tech from J'onn. Maybe they get it through torture or some other away that involves MM

I do think that J'onn should have a place in bringing the league together. I liked how they did it in the Justice League show

I just think doing aliens isn't a good idea for the first movie after The Avengers does the same thing from what Ive seen

yeah I guess that would be too much

I mean JL probably isnt for another 5+ years, but still I think they shouldnt do aliens

unless they can do it better than Avengers

In Avengers, Loki has alien army, MOS has Zod, Faora and other kryptonian as aliens on Earth.

It will be a good thing to avoid alien angle again in JLA movie.

i think sinestro would be cool as the first villain, i thought darkseid at first but he's too big a bad.

But they're not costumed heroes all the time, not showing that will be neglecting a huge part of their characters.

On another note: speaking of Starcrossed I like the idea of the League being Wanted for at least part of the movie
That is what I am saying though, show them as civilians when it is important to the story because it is at times. But don't always remove their mask, don't have the Flash run so fast his mask rips during the main battle because they need to show the actors face. Don't have sparks impair Batman's vision so he has to remove his mask needlessly. In the movies, I heard on a Spider-Man commentary, they always had Spider-Man remove his mask so they could relate it all back to Peter Parker. I also heard the idea that its because the actors wanted face time on camera. Like in some cop shows, where they would be wearing helmets to protect their head they run into battle with no helmets or masks because they want to show the actors faces. I just mean that they shouldn't needlessly remove their masks (those that wear them). People were upset that Thor only had on his helmet once in his movie and doesn't seem to have it at all in the Avengers. I just don't want the characters to not be in costume when they should because the studio wants to give the actors face time.
Whether or not they do it in CG I hope they do this. I was glad that they went with Weaving for Red Skull because I was worried he would have a human face through most of the movie.

Benjamin Walker (6'3) for Justice League Superman.

He's the right age and getting some good Hollywood buzz.

Check out the trailer:

If we're going with two Supermen on film, I'd rather they use Routh in JL. Ben Walker should definitely audition for the next Batman.

I think DC has been good with people removing their masks. In BB and TDK i dont rmember, but Im 99% sure Bruce didnt remove his mask. Same wth GL I think and then of course with Superman it doesn't matter

I think that I would be fine with Routh (or even Joe Manganiello), if WB decides not to use Henry Cavill.

But if there is a delay of (say) ten years than someone younger would be needed.

Gregory Adam (6' 2") would be a good choice.

I immediately thought superboy lol when I see gregory adam.

I dunno how old he is. but he looks very close to YJ's rendition of him.

I'm dubious of the OMAC idea, mostly because it makes the hypothetical JLA movie too inward-focused. "Why does the JLA exist? To stop threats bigger than any one hero. Why does the threat exist? Because somebody doesn't trust the JLA." Besides which, "mutant paranoia" really shouldn't be a core theme in any DC movie.

I'm not sure what good options there are, though, outside of alien or divine invasion.

But I'm still shaking my head at casting Common as GL and Hammer as Batman. What was Miller thinking?

John Stewart was going to be more of a supporting role in the JL: MORTAL film. He was basically a warrior and veteran Leaguer, much like in the cartoon. Based on his existing filmwork, Common would have been able to pull it off. There are plenty of veteran actors who could have. They wanted someone quasi-known who could convince people they were the character, and who was affordable.

Hammer's a fantastic actor. He was a fantastic actor then.

I thought Common would've been fine. I liked him as John Stewart more than Columbus Short or Tyrese. Especially more than T.I.

where do you guys want the climax of a potential JL film be.

Justice League 2 or Justice League 3 needs to be an adaptation of "Justice".

If the studio removes the more unnecessary characters and streamlines the story a little bit (Mostly the pacing and the ending), this would be a fantastic movie.
