I've liked most of the performances in his films.

It's not the performances...it's something about him. I can't really put my finger on it though.

You know...I think it is that. I remember remarking to myself that MOS didn't really "look" like a Synder movie to me. All his movies kind of have the same vibe, but I felt this one was different which is probably why I really enjoyed it as much as I did. I don't think I'm a big fan of his "normal" style.

Everyone's choices are so obvious it Jon Hamm, Micheal Fassbender, Billy Zane, Idris Elba. it's just not gonna happen. I feel Billy Crudup would be an awesome choice. Extremely underrated actor.

Everytime I read this thread, I come away thinking that people must think that any moderately attractive male actor can play Lex Luthor.

I actually think Lex should be attractive in this incarnation. I don't think he should be bald and old. He should be semi-young and attractive.

exactly. not too old, maybe about the same age with ben affleck will be good.

I really can't figure out how "obvious"=bad
Crudup's not a bad choice, but some of these suggestions on this threat that I've seen people make for the sake of thinking outside the box have been terrible, sometimes a choice is obvious for a good reason (not so much with Zane, but Hamm and Fassbender would be awesome).

Now maybe Warners and Snyder are looking for an older actor so I'll just have to accept it if it happens but it's not my preference. I've seen the jealous old guy three times in big screen Superman movies. Granted Superman 3 just had a Lex knock off instead of the real thing. It's just seems yawn inducing to go that route again.

I want a youthful and attractive 35-45 year old actor. Honestly I don't care if the guy is bald because it's not odd for guys to be bald now or days. If he's bald, fine, if he isn't fine.
