The leg paint and other details are lacking on the toy figure as well as the rear view which I had to guess from a blurry set photo.

Between this guy and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, the dawn of superhero behinds is among us.

Megazord looks awful. :( Hopefully it looks better on screen and in action.

Something of interest, Gregory Mitchell now formerly Senior Director of Marketing for Power Rangers had this to say about the leak:

Now that I'm no longer a salaried Power Rangers team member, I can speak as a fan here...GREAT JOB, YOU @*#?! IDIOT. Thanks to your brave, courageous act you've undermined what could have been fun, community building excitement for all of us by Lionsgate, Bandai and Saban with a proper reveal. 2 years of hard work and planning that could have shown us the Megazord in an engaging way and could have had fans meaningfully talking and sharing together...but oh well! THANKS, A******! You clearly have no idea what kind of work goes into creating content and products for a fandom as sincere and hungry and faithful as Power Rangers. You are no real fan, yourself - that much is also clear. So glad that hundreds of people worked so hard for so many months so you could then blow it with a ****** screen grab from your iPad. WELL DONE, RAT! P.S.: I sincerely hope people out here smoke you out of your rat hole and reveal how you got into unreleased item listings of a retailer's website. Because if you are doing that, the retailer should be told. And if you are being assisted by an employee, or are one yourself, the retailer should be told that, too.

As far as I know, the only one that had an ipad photo/retailer listing was this one:

So maybe that one, which has a more positive response would still be in the movie?

I think the colors on that one are closer to what we'll see in the movie. Both of them are most likely representing the same design.

That sucks for them to have worked hard and have it leaked like this but it's still a mad ugly design

I mean it wasn't a leak. Toys R Us put it on their own website.

I wouldn't bet on that. That one has the colors that it does and the slightly different design due to the physical realities of making a combiner toy. The other one is most likely more movie accurate. Which is so much worse.

i was never a fan of Toy designs besides of Sideshow and Hot Toys so i wait til i see the Zords in Moviefootage

So I just saw the Zord toy. True, it might/probably will look better in action but christ that looks so stupid.

Whos mans is doing the designs for this movie. The suits are okay but other than that nothing has looked good to me so far.

It sucks when you see fans design stuff so much better

But we got this?

It looks like a Transformer fused with something from He-Man

I know I'm in the minority, but I think Power Rangers is one of those IPs like GI Joe, Ninja Turtles, Jungle Book that are kinda (to say the least) corny but you can uplift the source material and make something really cool. But nothing from the director chosen, the cast, or the look of what Ive seen so far has impressed me.

The sucky thing is if this fails they'll put a potentially great Pacific Rim meets X-Men meets Green Lantern franchise on ice for a while. Of all the shows from when I was a kid I wanted to see adapted onto the big screen, Power Rangers was the top one (followed by Gundam Wing and Zoids New Century Zero)

I hope I eat my words, but this just seems mediocre at best. Not from just the Zord but everything Ive see so far

That you can't tell it is a Zord by looking at it, is a massive problem.

I agree.

It's the same thing I said about Rita. I dont get why you adapt a property and you make something that was already good-decent unrecognizable.

I am starting to think they don't have a shared mega cockpit in Megazord mode. I mean looking at that toy, there are 5 oval shaped blue things near different parts of the body. Maybe they have their own cockpits? Honestly that would suck but logically, how can they move entire cockpits to the head of the Megazord. But screw logic for now because this is fantasy and they have to have a shared cockpit.

I admire his passion. Sucks that people work so hard only for one troll to ruin everything.

.

Hey don't drag he-man down to the level of this shoddy design. Masters of the universe has some of the greatest and original designed characters in kids show history and is on level with and I'd say above all except maybe tmnt is something that can work on a more serious level.

Re-posting Nebezial's artwork. Found a nice 8226x5000 hi-res version. I can't get over how beautiful it looks.

I don't think that's a fan design, that looks like original concept art from the Japanese show.

huh learn something new everyday Ive seen that pic for a couple of years I figured it was fanart

Indeed.

I'm just floored with that 2017 design. Just...who greenlit that idea.

It's alien. Zordon's an alien, it makes sense that his technology would look weird and 'off' that's why the design succeeds.

no not really.

You can make an "alien" design that looks good and looks in line with what came before it.

ANd I mean it's a giant robot unlike anything on Earth. It's going to look "alien" regardless. So that excuse doesn't hold

Rita is an alien who looks like Elizabeth Banks...so?

I understand wanting something closer to the original design but most of the examples I've seen posted look like 'any old' run-of-the-mill giant robot design. It's the same thing with Transformers where they ditched the blocky cube shaped designs in favor of something more angular and extraterrestrial.

The fact that it looks so different from other robots is a testament to how the creative team did their job and did it well. Anybody who says they can't see any of the original design in that toy, I don't know what to say to you because they clearly ket some elements from it.
