I'm not interested in seeing the Zord morph like the Rangers do or like the T-100. That's lazy and generic. And to top that off, it looks humanoid. Meaning it'll probably be moving like one. Well at least we got Pacific Rim 2 coming out.

I have been unhappy with every design that I've seen, from the costumes to the Zords. I think it all looks terrible.

To be honest, I never liked Power Rangers, and I will not be watching this movie. It has to have 90% at RT and a great word of mouth to get me to see it...but let's face it - not going to happen.

As for the megazord design. Come one. It's a toy. See it in full CG before trashing it this hard!

I suppose that was too much to ask for.All Dean needed to do was modernise or update that whilst keeping the core design intact but nnoooooo we need more slick and edgy Digimon design. You know the new megazord reminds me of?

There's probably going to be a new trailer around Rogue One's release from rumblings I've heard.

My point was its change for the sake of change. It reminded me of Dr Doom because Trank thought he could do better than the source material and we ended up with that dummy garbage looking Doom. Same thing apples with the megazord. It's not like the original was some abysmal design that needed to be updated and needed a design over haul. It looks awful and generic. I stand by that. Nothing stands out. I wanted something like this..

It's fine if y'all like the new design. However I don't and it's just how I feel. Maybe it might look better in the film but if that toy is what we see if the film, then Nope. :

It's not. The toys so far(aside from the Power Sword and the morpher) are very inconsistent with what the promo pictures have shown us.

We haven't seen any promo pics of the Zords. You know what? I'm honestly not that surprised when you compare it to the redesigned look of the Power Rangers suits. Regardless, I was still expecting the megazord to at least look different and like an actual Robot. In fact, the zord actually looks like it could be another ranger with how it's designed. Honestly, if you hadn't known that was a megazord, would you think it was the megazord? Heck would you even think it was a robot?? It looks like a guy wearing an armoured suit with chain mail underneath. Here's my advice to Hollywood. STOP MAKING EVERYTHING LOOK LIKE IRON MAN.

Dude, this design doesn't look anything like Iron Man. Why do people always bring up Iron Man every time something is armored with a technological design. It's like a buzzword now. I think the aim here was to get it away from other popular giant robots in Hollywood like Bayformers and Pacific Rim-- while maintaining an alien design. And to that degree, I'd say they've succeeded. I would've preferred something a bit more traditional too in all honesty, but I'm going to wait until we see in the movie & in action.

To be fair, the Ranger figures themselves have been pretty consistent with the promo pics. And the Tyrannosaurus Zord toy's details match up pretty accurately to what we can see in poster.

I actually think the feet are suppose to be the Triceratops. Maybe the things on the waste are the Mastadon but they're unpainted?

Yeah, the Triceratops is definitely the feet (You can make out the horns) and it looks like it's only partly painted, same thing with the Pterodactyl wings (which are probably suppose to be fully pink) which leads me to believe that the actual Megazord will be a more colorful than this toy.

If you look closely, they do not.

The leg paint and other details are lacking on the toy figure as well as the rear view which I had to guess from a blurry set photo.

As for the T-Rex Zord, here's the toy(which they explicitly said it was a prototype):

And here's the promo poster of Jason sitting on his Zord.

There's a clear grey/silver colour on the Zord especially at the tail in the promo picture.

Hence, somebody didn't do a good job painting the toys and it's clearly carried over to the Megazord.

Haha, my bad, man. That's exactly what I'm saying. The details (sculpt) seem to be intact but the paint apps are severely lacking which is why I think the actual Megazord will be more colorful.

lol it's cool. I'm planning to cosplay the Red Ranger and have that suit replicated so I tend to look for the finer details and nuances.
