Wow they put this clip out before the movie premiered? I hope no one saw this before. It was badass to see in theaters for the first time, not on a tiny screen.

Can someone tell me what happens to the pilot? It looks he disintegrates into little pieces after Nam-Ek crushes his head. I can get his head exploding (damn, in a Superman movie, really? ) but what's with the rest of his body dissolving into red jelly?

Looks like the bloody bits and pieces flying off are just from the pilot's crushed head, a close-up probably would have looked kinda like this:

The headless remainder of the pilot's body then pretty much disintegrates in the following crash of the aircraft:
