Yeah, I can how it could be interpreted that way, lol.
Well I just read "Birthright" for the first time, and DAMN...just wanted to say that it was one of the most incredible stories that I've read regarding Superman's origins and I can definitely see where MOS may have been inspired from.
The climax of Birthright, featuring Lex's fake kryptonian invasion, with warships and armored kryptonians, I think MOS will feature some of that into the film, only with them being real and perhaps not as many kryptonians.
With CGI armor and potential spaceships by Zod being attached to MOS, if Snyder is able to make it work, we may be in for some awesome stuff.
And honestly, I've been wanting to see a large scale alien invasion/war like film featuring Superman for the longest time.
Birthright was pretty awesome no doubt, but Secret Origin by Geoff Johns and the more recent origin by Grant Morrison in Action Comics were just as good if not better.
I just read Secret Origin and am loving Morrison's Action Comics, but Birthright is still tops for me as far as origin stories go.
I just found out about the trailer moments ago and watched it immediately. The trailer is brilliant despite watching it on a ****ti cam. When the trailers are bad, there's almost no hope for a film. With that said, I am unsure how well the film will do. Even with all the changes they are making to Superman they still can't get out from under the shadow of the Donner films by reintroducing characters that were written specifically for those films. Not to mention, the use of Luthor over and over again is getting tiresome.

Are u serious?I've actually never read the entirety of All-Star, only a couple of issues here and there. Because of its obvious inspiration for the Crowe voiceover in the teaser, and you guys talking it up here, I'm downloading the first 6 issues now.![]()
I liked Secret Origins, but not as much as Birthright. Secret Origins has a lot of good stuff going for it, but I guess one of the things that makes me prefer Birthright more is how fresh and stand-alone it feels to me. As much as I love, truly love, the Donnerverse, I feel Origins is too weighed down by adherence to elements of it. I love Birthright's clean-slate start, structure, and the way it presents the different identities of Clark/Superman.
For me, All-Star Superman is the epitome of Superman storytelling. Everything Grant Morrison does is gold to me.
This. If Birthright had been the Post-Crisis origin and Kingdom Come had been written in the eighties I have no doubt they'd be as revered as Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight Returns.
Please visit this link, because there are rules against asking for bootleg footage. Even though this particular sticky is for the MOS teaser itself, the same rules apply to bootleg footage in general. I just want you to be careful, because we don't want you to be banned or anything. If anyone on here has the Comic-con Footage please PM it to me... PLEASE!

That was just to start off with, before committing to buying all of the issues. That line from the trailer isn't until issue 11 or 12 though.
No, doesn't sound like her, and besides... Why would Martha say her son was in the bus and saw what Clark did, when Clark is her son?
The woman actually says "He saw" not "They saw". So yeah.
: It's not Martha.
It is a mother of one of the other schoolchildren on the bus and she is freaked out hearing what Clark did to save the children.
You're funny. Also, it's not Martha.I think it's Diane Lane (Martha Kent). Here is why:
- She says, "My son was in the bus.... he saw what Clark did". Both the "son" and "Clark" doesn't have to mean the same thing. It could be two different statements put together for the trailer. Or it could be a kid saw Clark saving the bus, and Martha Kent is talking to Jonathan Kent, "My son was in the bus.... he saw what Clark did". Maybe Martha is afraid of Clark showing his powers, while Jonathan is okay with it......
- Another reason is why would they waste dialogue on random characters for the ComicCon trailer? They had dialogue for Jonathan Kent, Jor-El, Clark.... and you guys think they will have a random woman have dialogue on the trailer
- also, the final reason......... it's Diane Lane's voice

That would be amazing.Yeah Morrisons run on Action Comics is incredible they should base the next Superman animated series off that.
Agreed. As I've been saying, Birthright is my favorite Superman origin story, but All-Star Superman is my favorite Superman story, and is easily up there at the top of my all-time favorite comics period. All Star Superman is perhaps one of the greatest comics I've ever read. Some love him and some hate him, but count me in the group who ****ing loves Grant Morrison.
