Like training to learn to better control his powers? I would also like him to have one power he has no real control of (maybe heat vision or something) yet and doesn't use it until the final showdown with Zod.

I wonder if they'll start releasing new stills during August since correct me if I'm wrong, we had our VERY FIRST (and only) OFFICIAL image for MOS released last August as well. Given that TDKR has finally premiered and is going along just fine with their box office revenue, I think it wouldn't hurt for Warner Bros. to finally start putting some grease in their MOS promotion engine.

We got the teaser and poster this month. I wouldn't expect anything until around Christmas.

I don't know man. It's possible that we might start getting entertainment magazines with a "first look" at next year's movies. Know what I mean? So with those magazines coming out, we could potentially be getting official stills.

MAN! It sucks that we have to wait so long for anything new. I hope, HOPE, that maybe we could get a treat a few times in between now and then. I mean the movie is finished with principle right? Considering the Hobbit is coming out in Winter, I am sure that will be the debut of the trailer. Then we will have the Superbowl for a tv Spot. For obvious reasons I think Superman lends himself more to Football than most other heroes (Not that it matters but I think it will go over well). Then I would say the final trailer on Fast and Furious 6 maybe? It's one of the earlier big releases of next year that I can think of. I can't imagine they would throw it on Iron Man 3... Man of Steel in front of Iron Man... that'd be funny, heh.

As far as the old school Supes movies. I look at it like this. Now I have only recently fallen in love with the character. Between Action Comics run and the books I have been picking up, not to mention the comicon footage and two teasers and the fact that Dark Knight has ended, I have a new hero in my sights. I can say that growing up as a massive Bats fan.... the feelings for the old Supes movies are similar to the old Bat flicks. For what they are, what they did for the characters at the time, there is an appreciation and nostalgic value. Is it close to being the BEST representation? No. But I was a kid when Batman, Batman Returns and Batman Forever came out so at the time I thought they were great! They really entertained me, got my imagination running, gave me years of awesome Halloweens and tons of fun action figure adventures. Looking back as a 26 year old, yeah the movies aren't great if I am reviewing them for a movie review but that's also part of movies that I don't like. Movies are meant to entertain us first. As someone who is moderately intelligent and likes to think and figure things out on my own and not have it spoon fed, I prefer movies that give me something to think about... it is an extension of entertaining me. But they do have this power when I sit down to watch Jim Carrey in a tight green leotard or Jack Nicholson with make up on to remind me of being a kid.

So yeah I don't think it's fair to attack movies that have nostalgic value per say. There are far more variables. Much in the same way that there were movies as a kid I would watch with my Dad like Dances With Wolves or The Godfather and as a kid I had NO interest in them and was quite bored. Now they are some of my favorite movies. IT works both ways. Let alone that for the times the movies were made themselves... WE were less... mature, less evolved at the time. I don't think it is as simple as to dismiss and disregard those points.

Yes, filming was completed back in February.

Iron Man 3 comes out in May...Man of Steel comes out in June. I could totally see the final trailer with Iron Man 3. Don't look at it as a Marvel vs. DC thing, because Spiderman 3's teaser played before Superman Returns. So the old adage of not showing a DC trailer in front of a Marvel movie, or vice versa, just doesn't apply anymore.

In case of Spider-man 3, the studio was Sony even though the it had a Marvel hero, but this would be different the Studio is Disney (competitor to WB.) and then it is a Marvel movie so WB may not attach it with Iron man 3.

That's true. I hadn't thought about it that way.

Then he wouldn't be able to shave his beard with his heat vision. :csad:

Maybe his super breath.

I'll tell ya, something I really want to see is Superman using his heatvision at full blast. I want to see what it can do.

We'll probably get images of cloth blowing in the breeze until December.
I picture a full page spread in the September issue of Lonely Laundry Monthly. ;):p

You do have point. Plus IIRC, he is clean shaven in the college years pics, so I guess super breath might work.
